Thursday Melodies!

I've been singing this for the past two days... can't help myself. It's a sweet song and I particularly love the beginning of the lyrics...In the end, we're all strange, right? :)

Thursday Melodies

Day's almost over and it's been loooooong! I've been a good girl and I've been studying today but I couldn't help humming this song throughout most of the day.
I'm up to chapter 6 on my current WIP and it seems I'm going to have to pause it until I finish my exams...stupid tests!

Hope everyone is having/had a good Thursday!

Thursday Melodies

Simple, yet breathtakingly beautiful. I love this piece and I love the emotion behind the piano.

I was listening to it last night and an image came to mind...a couple dancing on a balcony under the light of the full moon. She was wearing an apricot color regency gown, a few wisps of her brown hair escaping from her bun. He wore a black tailcoat and white chemise. The couple danced under the stars oblivious to the party inside the mansion. Only their hands touched. Her small hand encased in his large one. They sway, everything forgotten except the simple tune of Greensleeves and the love radiating from the intensity of their stares.

Thursday Melodies

Good morning! This week is breezing by and already it's Thursday, just another day before the weekend.

On last week's Silver Flash two songs were mentioned (read it here) and that's why today I'm dedicating Thursday's melody to both of them! One, the fun Elton John's and Kiki Dee's song "Don't go breaking my heart" and the other Alice Cooper's sexy "Poison".

Have a great day!

Come celebrate Halloween at the Haunting Halloween Weekend at The Long and the Short of it!

Morning everyone! For some unbeknownst reason my Thursday Melody post did not get through (perhaps the fact that I wrote it at 3am falling asleep over the keyboard has something to do with it). It matters not because the song I was going to post is still rocking in my head. This was it: Devour by Shinedown!

As you know, I've had two releases this month of October. The first one was my paranormal short "Dreams of Fate" released by Etopia Press on October 14th. The other was "A Decade of Longing" released this past Wednesday by Evernight Publishing.

Since it's Halloween, I'm going to be blogging at The Long of the Short of it and speaking all sort of scary and erotic things. Come check it out here (Whipped Cream blog) and here (Goddess Fish blog). They're giving away tons of prizes including a copy of "Dreams of Fate"!

Keep the Goddess Fish Pavilion in mind because on November 6th I'll be blogging there again and giving away a copy of "A Decade of Longing"!

Hope to see you at both parties!

Thursday Melodies

Good day my friends!

I have great news! My historical novel "A Decade of Longing" will be released earlier than expected! When? Next Wednesday the 26th of October.

The story takes place in the Victorian Era and in its honor I have chosen this song for your enjoyment.

Thursday Melodies!

Welcome again everyone! Today's song is very related with my short story "Dreams of fate" which will be released tomorrow!!

I remember it clearly. I was on my way home, immersed in my own thoughts when the first chords of this song began to play. As the lyrics unfolded my imagination took a path of its own, image formed in my mind and a story began to take place...

Thursday Melodies

Hey Everyone! This chaotic week is almost over and today's music pick is good for two reasons.
One, it's great battle music to go through the week and two it has been a great source of inspiration for my current WIP.
Here is a sample of what I've been writing:
Suddenly, a group of men was running through the gate and they were charging. Blood splattered everywhere as swords pierced tender skin. Women screamed and men cried out. Conrad entered the keep with his men. Everywhere he looked was chaos. Men fought, women ran trying to escape capture and rape, and children cried over the loss of their family. In the background, the menacing fire threatened to consume them all.
Enjoy!

Thursday Melodies

Initially I had in mind a totally different song to post today, but thanks to my friend Scarlett Knight, I just discovered this group from Florida: Shinedown

Enjoy!

By the way, don't forget to participate in Evernight's Birthday Bash! You could win a Kindle among other great prizes! Either click HERE, Scroll down or click on the image to your right to find the post and be part of the party!

Thursday Melodies

The weekend is almost around the corner! Hip Hip Hurrah! Although, I'm not sure if that is good thing because it means I'll be heading back to class...

Anyways, let's talk about nicer things like for example today's song: "Mercury Falling" by the Finnish group, Poisonblack.

I've known this group for ages and Ville Laihala's, previous group, Sentenced, as well. The man has a rough, sort of husky voice that makes little butterflies appear in the pit of my stomach. I've particularly picked this song because it brings out the rougher edge of his voice, thus making me put on a little smile whenever I listen to it. (So that's probably why I get all the funny stares when I'm walking home, to the bus or on the subway with that loopy grin, LOL).
As a matter a fact, his voice has been an inspiration for Conrad, the main character of my current WIP.

Hope you like it!

Thursday Melodies (a day late!)

Hi Everyone!

I apologize for not posting yesterday the day's melody but it was a busy day and I was unable to find the time to stop by my blog.
Today's song is from the concert I went to last night: Dejame from Spanish group Los Secretos.

Enjoy! And Happy Friday!

By the way, if you have a chance stop by Every Night Erotica to read my friend Scarlett Knight's paranormal tale "Room 19"

Thursday Melodies

Greetings everyone! How is the week going by?

In my attempt to make this a more active blog today I'm starting something which I've titled "Thursday Melodies". The name almost speaks for itself. Every Thursday I'll post a song that I consider is good for "setting the mood". The moods will vary.

Today, I'll start with something sweet. It's a song by the Finnish band HIM, titled "You are the one". I think if I ever were to get married this song would play in my wedding. Enjoy!
