“Welcome to Santa’s office.” -- #weekendwritingwarriors and #sexysnippets from The Beauty of Forever #vampires #comingsoon #holidayromance

Happy Sunday, everyone!
Last week I missed out on sharing because I was in beautiful Hamburg discovering the amazing city and its marvelous Christmas markets. <3 If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram you might have seen a few pictures :)
Today I’m sharing a snippet from my holiday story, The Beauty of Forever (A Christmas Realm Tale). In this tease, Samantha is observing Christopher and they're about to enter a very special place...

But before I do, I also want to thank everyone who nominated me in Evernight's Readers' Choice Awards. I've been nominated in two categories: Best Dark Romance with Break Me and Evernight Book of the Year with Alpha's Alpha! I'm beyond thrilled! Final votes are happening now, so if you have a moment and would like to participate, this is the link. (There's also a $25 Evernight Gift card giveaway!)
Now, back to the snippet.
Enjoy!

He leaned over to press the button to the last floor and his fragrance filled her lungs. Winter oranges and cloves. Heat touched every pore in her body, slowly churning and awakening to the presence of the man at her side. She peeked at him from beneath her lashes. Tall, probably around six-foot-four, he was slender with an air of elegance which spoke of times long gone. He appeared to be in his mid- or early-thirties. His features, from the chiseled cheekbones, straight nose, firm lips, to masculine jaw were flawless, sculpted by the hand of a master. The elevator lurched to a stop. The doors chimed and opened slowly, revealing a reception area decorated in greens, reds, and whites, to the side, a large fir tree glistened with fairy lights.

Once dead, always dead.

Christopher Beaufort works in what could easily be the most cheerful place on earth, Santa’s Christmas Realm, but as a vampire, he is nothing more than a shadow among the living.
Worn out by the demands of his job as Chief Toy Officer, Santa assigns a human woman to help him, Samantha Kraus. Tantalized by the fiery red-head, Christopher makes it his business to seduce her, but as he does, something within him begins to stir.

Life is a gift in which every moment counts.

When Samantha Kraus accepted the job of assistant manager at Santa’s, she expected elves, fairies and maybe some shifters, but definitely not vampires, and least of all did she imagine her boss would be one of them or that she’d be attracted to him.

Though she tries to remain professional, Samantha finds herself falling for Christopher. But, can a vampire’s heart ever beat again?

  7. I was struck by how much your description of the guy matches two of my sons, except that they're six-five, have no connection to Santa's office, and aren't vampires. That I know of.
