Happy Sunday, everyone!
Sorry to have disappeared just like that, but November has
been insane. I didn’t finish Nanowrimo (barely made it to 8000 words) and have
had that perpetual feeling of running around from one place to another without
really accomplishing anything. Let’s hope December is better. :)
Today I’m sharing a snippet from my upcoming release, The
Beauty of Forever (A Christmas Realm Tale). I’m absolutely in love with the cover and the hero of this story. You might
remember him and the heroine from previous snippets back when the story was a
WIP.
In this snippet, they’re in an elevator heading to
Christopher’s office. He’s just overheard a receptionist tell Samantha that he
won’t bite without permission.
Enjoy!

“She isn’t
right, you know.”
“What?” She
looked up at him with eyes wide, like a deer caught in headlights.
“I always bite
without permission.”
He swept his
gaze across her figure, she flushed and clutched her purse to her chest like a
shield.
“There’s
nothing as exhilarating as the pleasure of hunting down prey.” The elevator jolted
to a stop and the doors slowly slid open. “But don’t worry, doll, I promised
Santa I’d keep my fangs to myself.” He smiled broadly. “After you.”

COMING DECEMBER 5TH 2017
Once dead, always dead.
Christopher Beaufort works in
what could easily be the most cheerful place on earth, Santa’s Christmas Realm,
but as a vampire, he is nothing more than a shadow among the living.
Worn out by the demands of his
job as Chief Toy Officer, Santa assigns a human woman to help him, Samantha
Kraus. Tantalized by the fiery red-head, Christopher makes it his business to
seduce her, but as he does, something within him begins to stir.
Life is a gift in which every moment counts.
When Samantha Kraus accepted the
job of assistant manager at Santa’s, she expected elves, fairies and maybe some
shifters, but definitely not vampires, and least of all did she imagine her
boss would be one of them or that she’d be attracted to him.
Though she tries to remain
professional, Samantha finds herself falling for Christopher. But, can a
vampire’s heart ever beat again?
I sure wouldn't trust this dude behind me where I couldn't see him. And as for "running around from one place to another without really accomplishing anything," I know the feeling well, and it'll only get worse before the holidays are over.
ReplyDeleteWell, isn’t he saucy? Love that cover!
ReplyDeleteHe's certainly keeping her off balance! Enjoyed the snippet :)
ReplyDeleteHmm...sexy
ReplyDeleteOh, I love him already!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wicked sense of humor. It's great.
ReplyDeleteOoh, that is a great cover! A vampire in charge of Santa's toys? Love it!
ReplyDeleteFantastic snippet. So playful ye with some sexual undertones. And you have a release coming up soon- congratulations. Tweeted.
ReplyDeleteLove the humor in this snippet. But I wouldn't trust him, not for a second.
ReplyDeleteNo way I'm trusting this guy! Especially if he's behind me. Great snippet!
ReplyDelete“I always bite without permission.” Okay, so I'm slightly biased because I have a thing for vampires... but this is one of the hottest things I've ever heard. *fans self*
ReplyDeleteGreat snippet. Love the cover.
ReplyDeleteCute ending of this snippet. I remember the previous snippet. Sounds like a fun holiday story.
