#SexySnippets

Welcome everyone to my first Sexy Snippets post. With Six Sentence Sunday gone *snif* I've been on the lookout for a new Sunday post. What is Sexy Snippet about? Their website says:

Sexy Snippets are seven sentences, taken from a work in progress, or published book, brought to you every Sunday.

Authors are invited to participate, so if you're interested just head to their site by clicking on the image above. They also have a Facebook and Twitter account.

My snippet belongs to the paranormal/urban fantasy novel I submitted and still haven't heard back from. *rocks back and forth muttering incoherently* Is it obvious I'm starting to despair? *blink, blink*

Anyhow, on previous Six Sentence Sunday I introduced you to Adrian, the bounty hunter and Victoria, the girl which the demon queen wants to capture for some mysterious reason. During the following fragment, Adrian is no longer watching Victoria hidden amid shadows, but openly in the street. He's a bit distracted, though he knows she's due any moment.

He grinned. Just because you couldn’t see the weapon it didn’t mean it wasn’t there. His smile died as he felt eyes on him. Her scent reached him afterwards. Innocence and vanilla, like that cologne she liked spraying on. An unknown hunger slammed into his gut and he lowered his gaze, searching for her probing eyes. The moment their eyes met, she looked away, her cheeks flushing red, her lips trembling, undecided on whether to smile or frown.
