Weekend Writing Warriors from Untitled WIP #paranormal #vampire #romance

Happy SUnday, everyone!

Progress on the WIP is going slow. I'm overwhelmed with work, my internet connection got busted and I've been trying to figure out my taxes. *shudder*

I'm continuing the snippet from where we left off last week. I'm thrilled you guys are enjoying it and that thought is making me want to work on the story.

Have a great day!

She sat at the far end of the room, gaze glued to her smartphone and foot shaking nervously, a black backpack at her feet. Oliver smirked. She was a newbie. He could almost taste her anxiety from here. Her blood pumped quickly making her cheeks flush and her breath come out in short, quick spurts. He made his way to her side of the waiting area. As he walked by, she lifted her gaze, their eyes locking for a brief instant before she hurried to look away.

New and shy. She definitely didn’t look like a criminal and she also appeared to not want to be here. So, the question begged to be asked, what was she doing here?

His interest piqued even further, he sat across from her and waited.

Weekend Writing Warriors from Untitled WIP #paranormal #vampire #romance

Happy Sunday, everyone!

Sh*t just got real! I went into the city center this week to meet with my bosses and I was told we'll be going back to working at the academy starting July. That's two weeks from now! Which means, I need to finish this untitled story before then! Someone bring out the whip!

In today's snippet I'm sharing a little bit more information about that strange clinic...

If anyone has an old or new release and is looking for some love, I'm doing author takeovers on my Facebook group. Sign up here: Spreadsheet

And also, something I do for fun is record myself reading an excerpt of a book for 1 minute. You can watch the videos by clicking here.  If anyone is interested in me reading their excerpt, drop me an email at elyzabethmvaley@gmail.com. I'm looking for excerpts to read! :)

Have a great day!

“You’re number three. It shouldn’t take too long. We don’t have to many vamps today and as you can see we’ve got plenty of, erm, donors.”

“Thank you.”

Oliver nodded. Donors. Volunteers. An obligation to vampire society. Most of the people who came to the clinic felt indebted to them, but there were also those who were there by obligation. Petty criminals who chose to become vampire food instead of community service.

Turning around he scanned the room for the brunette. The place was indeed full, several humans sitting on faux white-leather chairs placed six feet apart, reading magazines, playing on their phones or chatting in low voices. There were no vampires in sight, so he assumed they were already in the feeding rooms. His gaze zeroed in on his prey.

Weekend Writing Warriors from Untitled WIP #paranormal #vampire #romance

Happy Sunday!

Is anybody else shocked it's June already?

I should have already finished my WIP by now, but I haven't. I feel like a need a kick in the butt, so I've decided to post an excerpt from my WIP and hopefully, that way, you guys will pressure me to finish the story. LOL

In other news, I've started doing author takeovers on my Facebook group. If you'd like to promo an old or new story, sign up here: Spreadsheet

And also, something I do for fun is record myself reading an excerpt of a book for 1 minute. You can watch the videos by clicking here.  If anyone is interested in me reading their excerpt, drop me an email at elyzabethmvaley@gmail.com.

“Name?”

“Oliver Brooks.”

The receptionist tapped into the computer and pursed her lips.

“It says here your last visit at a clinic was about a month ago, and it wasn’t this one. Why have you decided to change locations?”

Oliver clenched his teeth before plastering a fake smile on his face. The woman sneered in distaste at the sight of his fangs.

“I decided I needed a change of airs. As far as I know, going into a different clinic isn’t prohibited.” He arched an eyebrow.

“No, but it’s my job to ask.”

Oliver nodded.
