Elyzabeth's Birthday Bash... where you get the gifts

Welcome, welcome!

Take a seat. Or don’t. Go on, dance! I’ve got a lively selection of music blaring through the speakers. Metal is my favorite but I’ve included some pop, rock, and everything in between. Cake? How about something to drink?

Ah, birthday parties! I’m not a great fan, I’ll admit it. Not because of anything in particular, I’m okay with growing older.

*ahem ahem *

Sorry, please ignore my sister shaking her head in the back. As I was saying, all this birthday madness has gotten me thinking about some of my most memorable birthdays. For instance, when I turned 14 I had my first surprise party. I went to sleep at a friend’s house when out of nowhere a few other friends appeared from behind curtains and chairs shouting “surprise!” It was a great sleep over!

Another cool birthday was when I turned 18. I was supposed to meet up with 1 friend for dinner, but my other 9 friends had other plans... The night didn’t end as expected (we couldn’t go to the club we wanted because some of them weren’t of age yet), but we still had a great time.

Last year was also an unexpected surprise. I went out for drinks with some friends when out of the blue one of them pulled out candles and donuts. What was going to be a short study break (my birthday falls smack in the middle of exams, which sucks), turned out to be an almost all night party at one of my closest friend’s house. Regardless, we did go study at the library the next day.  *wink*

Enough about me! What have been some of your most memorable birthdays? Least? Do you like birthday? Leave a comment below (with your email) telling me your thoughts on birthdays and win any of the following gifts:

  1. Happy Birthday Chica!!!

I love birthdays. My most memorable one is when I turned 24 and my uncle and other family members took me out to drink. I mixed drinks and drank a lot. LOL this is where I found out I had a high tolerance for alcohol and don't get drunk. Everyone was wasted the next day and I was fine.

I will share this for you! Tweet and Facebooked!

  2. I love birthdays but not this year. I'm turning 40and I'm not ready to let go of my 30's. normally I love my birthday and usually try to celebrate the entire month. My most memorable has to be my 21st because I had a huge party with family and friends! Least favorite...none (you got love an excuse to eat cake and ice cream). sbereza22(at)gmail(dot)com

  3. Happy Birthday!!!!! I love birthdays!! Although this passed birthday wasn't the hottest...I turned 30!! (Which sucks on it's own lol) Money was a little tight so I didn't get the party we had planned. I did however still get my 30 green and yellow Green Bay Packers cupcakes! That was cool!! Plus my mom and family have decided I get a "30 birthday party do-over" this summer and they are hiring a really gorgeous male stripper for me!! So in the end, not getting the party ON my birthday turned out to be a good thing!!!

    1. Cupcakes <3 A male stripper all for yourself? Hummm Where do you sign up for that? I didn't do anything special for my birthday either...I think I'm going to suggest a party do-over. LOL

  4. Hmmmm, birthdays. I do not know what is the most memorable. My one brother was married on my 25th and my other brother's fiancé had her bridal shower on my 30th, so I remember them very clearly. I always enjoy my birthday, but never really do anything special. I follow you on FB, but not on twitter because I apparently follow too many people and have been shut off. 2. Yay for following me on Twitter and not having your account shut off! I spent several years not celebrating my birthday because everyone was too busy during that time of year to party :-( What counts is enjoying the day, with or without anything special going on ;-)

  5. Happy Birthday! Hope you have a terrific day :)

My birthday is right before Christmas (5 days) so most of the time it gets little notice. But a couple of years ago, I spent the evening with my brother & sister, 2 nieces, & 3 nephews. We just had pizza and cupcakes, the guys played video games, watched TV, etc and basically just goofed off. This was just a little more than a week after I had quit smoking, so it was a great distraction. It was loud and silly, but oh so much fun :)

A Christmas birthday? You should be getting double the attention ;-) Goofing off, cupcakes, pizza and good company? Sounds like a great birthday celebration!

  6. Happy Birthday Elyzabeth!

I love birthdays because they bring people together and remind everyone why we care about each other. At least in my family. It was more important to be together than the birthday itself. :D

  7. Hi! Happy Birthday! I hope you have a wonderful time! :)
Im not much of a birthday person, i prefer to just skip it. My most memorable birthday was my 16. And it wasnt a great one. My parents decided to surprise me and they invited everyone on both sides of our famiy (which is a ton of people and they dont get along). My grandma (moms mom) was fighting with my grandfather was remarried. My aunt from my dads side ended up leaving the party after fighting with her husband. (she caught him cheating with my aunt from moms side. Umm. There was soooo much going on. Everyone was drunk and my family has a lot of mean drunks in them.
All of us kids ended up leaving and going for a walk. Best part of the night. :) It was definitely an...interesting night.
Thanks for sharing! You have a wonderful time!

    1. Oh! I forgot to add that my moms mom is really racist. Shes horrible! And my dads mom loves black men. And she ended up having a black daughter my age, and then her daughter had a black son. So you had them all fighting. :/ My moms mom was asked to leave. And my aunt that slept with my other aunts husband, was so drunk, she tried giving a toddler alcohol. Which resulted in this aunt and my other fighting. *sigh* Was any of that easy to follow?? Lol

  9. Happy Birthday Elyzabeth!

I love birthdays! I'm always Queen of the World on mine: breakfast = cake & I get to indulge in whatever I want (unless I have work or a class or something I can't get out of). One of my favorites was my 40th -- I got to do the whole Ozzfest VIP deal with a backstage tour, a hug from Zakk Wylde and headlining was the original lineup of Sabbath! Yep, they did all that all for my b.d. *lol*
