Today, I've decided to share something totally new from my current WIP, book 3 of the Alpha Protectors series. As always, I appreciate all your feedback. In this snippet, Max and his brothers in arms are entering Lust's realm.

They walked through the dancing vortex. Max’s insides stretched and contracted, the tug on his limbs a painful, yet welcome reminder that he was still alive.

The sensation vanished almost as fast as it appeared. He hit solid ground and ducked to the side, making room for those coming behind. Soldiers filled the clearing, their feet leaving prints on the ash-grey ground as they hurried to find their units. Their weapons clattered while their whispers stroked the air like a lover’s touch. Withered and twisted trees surrounded them, their polished frames offering little protection. They were exposed and vulnerable. Lust and its minions could ambush and annihilate them in seconds.
