#8Sunday #SexySnippets #WeekendWritingWarriors #paranormal

Happy Sunday, guys!

I can't believe it's already July! Are you guys on holiday? What are your plans for the summer?

Today, I'm continuing with the story and we're going to find out a little more about Kaila's surroundings. She's finally arrived to Sloth's door and this is what she sees.

This snippet has been edited to keep to guidelines.

Dropping her backpack with provisions on the floor, she stared at the gigantic doors which depicted images of a world of decay, destroyed by the human’s laziness or – she cocked her head- their obsession with work. She moved closer to the curious design on the right. Men and women dressed in business attire were set up in single file lines, empty sockets staring at piles of gold. She snorted. No doubt, Greed had helped designed this door. Her gaze drew downwards. She started. The men and women staring at the gold were standing over a pile of bodies. She grimaced at the grotesque site.

  2. Oh my, I reckon those doors would keep anyone out. Not her, I wager, mind you ;-) Such a fascinating world you paint here.

  4. This took an interesting turn! Sloth might be destructive, but Greed has a lot to answer for. :-)

  5. Interesting door. I assume it either foreshadows or comments on the action of the story.

BTW, I forgot to add my snippet to the WeWriWa list, but it’s up and eager for readers.

  6. Oh wow. what a bleak scene she's observing!

July already--I know! I have tomorrow off (for the holiday) but will likely work overtime next week to make up for it. ~sigh~ Work is crazy right now. I feel like I might be one of the people in your scene. I'm not obsessed with work, though. I'd rather be off. lol We have a beach trip planned for early autumn. Can't wait. :-)

  9. Oh dear. You've got me even more intrigued. Doesn't bode well for what lies behind the door.
