Happy Sunday, guys!

I'm on vacation-staycation! Hopefully lots of writing will happen these days.

I'm continuing with the story from the previous weeks. In previous posts we saw that Kaila was in front of a Sin's door, staring in horror at the grotesque depictions. She's down there because she needs to access into his lair to save his sister. She had just decided that it was time to go inside when someone very annoying stopped her. 


The last line from last week's snippet was Kaila saying: “You could’ve helped.”

“Would you’ve let me?”

“No, of course not.”

“Then, what you whining about, babe? Besides, you’re a perfectly capable fighter. We both know that.”

Kaila bit the inside of her cheek. She would keep calm. She would not send Seamus to hell and back. He was simply doing his job. She had known all along that once she entered this dimension the Guardians would approach her.

Tomorrow is a holiday here so I'm looking forward to a day of reading some awesome Weekend Writing Warriors and some Sexy Snippets as well as some writing.

I'm continuing with the story from the previous weeks. In previous posts we saw that Kaila was in front of a Sin's door, staring in horror at the grotesque depictions. She's down there because she needs to access into his lair to save his sister. She had just decided that it was time to go inside when someone stopped her.

“Babe?”

How many times had she told him not to call her that and yet he insisted?

“You gonna stand there all day, seething?” He paused. “Babe.” She could almost hear the grin in his voice as he drawled out the endearment.

“How long have you been there, Guardian?” Kaila asked.

“Long enough to see you sweat it for a bit.”

“You could’ve helped.” She clenched her jaw.

Who's on summer holiday?

I'm not, but I'm counting the days. Just two more weeks, two more.

I'm continuing with the story from the previous weeks. In previous posts we saw that Kaila was in front of a Sin's door, staring in horror at the grotesque depictions. She's down there because she needs to access into his lair to save his sister.

The description of the door continues for a few more lines, but I'm skipping over them to introduce you to a new character.

The need to get her sister out of there turned even more urgent and Kaila reached for the iron wrought pommel.

“Going anywhere, babe?”

She froze. The hairs on the back of her neck stood. She recognized that voice for she’d heard it countless times in her 31 years.

“You didn’t think you’d be able to run past me, did you, babe?”

Sexy, deep, with an exaggerated drawl. She clenched her jaw. Damn Guardian. What the hell was he doing here?

Happy Sunday, guys!

It's been a bit of a crazy week with the beginning of the new course, as well as some birthday and goodbye celebrations. I'm so glad the weekend has finally arrived so I can rest. What have you guys been up to?

Today, I'm continuing with the story. Last week we left Kaila in front of Sloth's door and describing what she was was seeing. I'm continuing from there. The last line from last week's snippet was:

 She grimaced at the grotesque site.

Women, men and children, were bent and twisted below the workers. She moved closer, her hand flying to her mouth as she realized that they were made up from words. The lines of their bodies, their faces, even their mouths spelled words. Help. Listen to me. I love you. Why are you ignoring me? Work is not everything.  On and on, the words repeated themselves over the bodies that were claiming the workers for attention that never came. They had fallen prisoners to Sloth’s and Greed’s malevolent plan.
