Weekend Writing Warrior from Spread (Lust, Love and Darkness) #BDSM #DarkRomance

Hi everyone! Happiest and healthiest Sunday to all. I've been missing out on Weekend Writing Warriors not only due to the stress of the situation but also because if you guys recall my computer was giving me a lot of problems, so doing more than the minimum on it was taking eons. Luckily, I have a great sister who lent me the money to buy a new laptop, so I'm back!

Today, I'm sharing a snippet from Spread (Lust, Love and Darkness) which is nominated for book of the month at The TBR Pile (any votes much appreciated). I've been working on book 3 and I hope to have it finished soon. Madrid is on lockdown, but I'm working from home which is eating up a lot of my free time.

Stay safe and enjoy reading!

Hands trembling, she put on her headphones and opened the music app on her phone. The loud rock riffs surrounded her, obliterating every sound from the exterior but still incapable of shutting down the turmoil in her brain. She grabbed a handful of cereal and stuffed it into her mouth. The crunch mingled with the melody, but still she couldn’t keep him at bay.  Antonio.  His name flashed in her subconscious. Loud. Bold. Present when he should be gone. Her stomach clenched, and she belched, acid bile rising to the back of her throat.  “Fuck.” She knew this would happen.

Four days.

That’s the amount of time Betty has to hang on to her sanity. The time she needs until another of Antonio’s deathversaries rolls by. Four more days before the nightmares subside and the memories return to the past.

The problem is life around her doesn’t stop, and when she meets Rayden, long forgotten passion sparks to life. But can she move on with Antonio’s ghost looming over her?

Rayden hasn’t forgotten. Nor has he ever forgiven himself. When Betty comes into his tattoo parlor, he realizes who she is and even at the cost of his libido, he is determined to help her follow her dreams.

Time ticks fast and as their desire grows insatiably and the anniversary of Antonio’s death creeps closer, pleasure and pain blend into one.

Rayden doesn’t want to hurt her. But can he keep her from harming herself?

Fear is a good thing~ Weekend Writing Warriors on Open (Lust, Love and Darkness) #contemporary #romance #BDSM

Happy Sunday, everyone!

First of all, I'd like to thank anyone who's helped me put the word out there that  Open (Lust, love, Darkness) is available. Secondly, thank for leaving comments on Sunday's. I read them all even if I'm slow in responding. To top it off, this week I've been slower than usual as I've been sick/battling allergies/not-sure-what all week, and have been dozing more than usual.

I've moved a bit further ahead in today's snippet and have edited the excerpt to keep to guidelines.

Enjoy!

XoXo,
Ely

"You’re hesitating because you’re afraid. A bit of fear is a good thing, it makes you cautious. A lot is a problem, it stops you from living to the fullest.”
“Why would I be afraid? I’ve done things you can’t even imagine.”
Marcus smiled affably, as if he were trying to make a petulant child understand.
“I’m sure you have, but there’s one thing you haven’t done.” Marcus tucked her hair behind her ear, and she gasped, erotic electricity racing across her body. He leaned into her. “You’ve never
been with me, kitten.”

He'd demand more ~ Weekend Writing Warriors on Open (Lust, Love and Darkness) #contemporary #romance #BDSM

Happy Sunday, everyone!

Today I'm happy to share another snippet of  Open (Lust, love, Darkness).  Today I'm giving you a glimpse into Gabi's initial reaction to Marcus. Please remember that this is a BDSM romance, so when she refers to beating she means of the kinky kind. ;-)

Enjoy!

XoXo,
Ely

There was something uncompromising about the way he regarded her. Arousing and frightening. She could lose herself to him. The men she chose to engage with wanted only one thing: to beat her and have her feed their egos with fake moans and honorary titles. She enjoyed the pain, but the pleasure only came from her own hand. Marcus would be different. Playing with Marcus wouldn’t just be a spanking, or a flogging. He’d demand more.

A cold wave washed over her, making goosebumps sprout on her arms. Antonio also had had the same uncompromising air.

“And you don’t want me to call you Sir or Master? Do you prefer Daddy?” She ran her fingertips across his forearm making goosebumps sprout on his flesh. Marcus pulled away.

“If the men you’ve been playing with require you call them Sir after barely ten seconds of interaction, you’ve been hanging around the wrong people.”

She shrugged, her gaze dipping then just as quickly meeting his again.

“So, why are we having this conversation, Marcus?”

“I would like to play with you.”

Gabi quirked an eyebrow. “And you don’t want me to call you ‘Sir’?”

“Not yet.”
