"I don’t need courage, kitten.”— #midweektease from Alpha Protectors 3 #paranormal #romance

Happy Hump day, everyone!

Today I've been planned the post way beforehand (as in it's Saturday when I'm getting this ready, lol), so hopefully, everything should run smoothly.

It's another tease from Alpha Protectors 3. I've skipped way ahead into the story. Let me know what you think ;-)

 Enjoy!
Elyzabeth

She smiled. Her eyes took on a predatory gleam, reminding him of a feline out on the prowl, the shadowy brushes of her makeup magnifying the effect. Lust hit him in the gut. He would play the willing mouse – for a bit.
“I was informing you that you’d taken the last drink,” she said.
“You mean this one?” He tilted the glass he still held in his hand. It was a miracle he hadn’t dropped it.
“Exactly.” Eva wrapped her hand around the stem of the flute, over his fingers. “And then I asked if you’d share.” Deftly, she plucked it from his grasp.
Max chuckled. Brazen little thing.
“I took it for you, kitten,” he declared.
“Really?”
Without breaking visual contact, she sipped at the amber liquid. Max's cock stiffened.
“Minx,” he growled, bringing her closer and taking back the beverage. He drank deeply, finishing it off.
“Are you sure you weren’t just taking it because you needed some liquid courage?”
Her sultry laughter fueled his passion and he pressed into her, forcing her to tip her head back to look at him. She licked her lips, her hunger open and all consuming.
“I’ve had my eyes on you from the moment you walked in. I don’t need courage, kitten.”
“Then what were you waiting for?”
“The right moment. You didn’t come alone,” he said.
“No,” she admitted.
“But you’re not wearing a wedding ring.” Max clenched his teeth, the unpleasant thought worming its way into him. “Is he your boyfriend?”
Eva grasped the lapels of his jacket, skimming the material. She tilted her pelvis, coming into contact with his raging hard on. Max bit back a gasp, but hers echoed loudly in his ears.
“No,” she rasped. “He’s a client.”

He was the tempest that would break her. -- #MidWeek Tease: Reine's Salvation (Alpha Protectors) #Alpha #paranormal

Happy Hump Day, lovelies!

I finished Nanowrimo n Sunday. Yay! So I'm slowly, but surely crawling my way through the pile of emails and whatnot's that I had been postponing. Today I'm sharing yet another tease from  Reine's Salvation (Alpha Protectors I).

 Enjoy!

Reine's Salvation (Alpha Protectors I)

He’s the kind of man her mother warned her to steer clear from...

Mystique is happy with her current life, but for years she's struggled on a path of self-destruction. She knows she shouldn't get involved with the brooding hunk at the bar, but how can she stay away when his sorrowful gaze is so compelling?

Reine has lost everything: his wife, his friends, his ability to fight, and his identity as an Alpha Protector. There's nothing left for him except a world of anger and bitterness. At least, that’s what he believes until he meets an intrepid waitress.

The attraction between them is immediate, but while Reine can’t let go of his past, Mystique is not willing to return to hers. With darkness constantly closing in, will they find a way to be together? Or, will Reine's behavior destroy their future?

In Today's tease we're digging a little into Reine's emotions...

Reine sat on the floor. His eyes burned from the lack of sleep and his head hurt. He covered his face with his hand but didn’t close his eyes. The hammering in his skull increased and he rubbed his temples, hoping it would subside.

“Reine.”

His heart fluttered at the sound of Mystique’s voice.

“Reine, please. You can’t stay in there forever. Open the door.”

He folded his wings behind his back. He couldn’t open the door. Allowing her inside would be like bringing her into his madness. He couldn’t allow that.

“All right. “ He heard her sigh. “I’ll come by later.”

After a second, he heard the sound of her footsteps moving away from the door. Reine let out a long breath of relief. His gaze darted across the room. The television set was on the floor, cracked. Pieces of glass and porcelain coated the living room floor. The shelves, which had held the delicate ornamental objects, lay scattered about and broken. The kitchenette was not much better off. He’d smashed several plates and glasses and wrecked the table. He’d destroyed everything in sight.

He couldn’t let her in. As much as he wanted to see her, hold her, and kiss her again, he knew it was for the best. He stared at the painting which had toppled to the ground during his mad rage. The painter had brought to life the image of a tree atop a hill after a storm. Here and there, Reine could see the gentle caress of the brush stroke used to create the rough bark. The painter had paid close attention to detail and the trunk told its history through crevices and grooves. There, a bird had chipped into it, and there, the hot weather had dried its surface until it wrinkled like a prune. Leaves and branches lay on the ground around it, but the tree still stood proud, its canopy of leaves seeming to sway in the wind and daring the tempest to come again. Every leaf had been carefully designed, appearing to be fresh and young, its texture satiny and its color a dazzling green glimmering from the sunlight peeking from behind the gray clouds.

In a way, Mystique was like that tree. She had been marked by the tribulations of life and yet she was still beautiful and full of life both inside and out. She represented those leaves dancing in the wind after a stormy night. She was the tree marked by time and pain but still strong atop the hill.
But how long could a tree withstand the force of a hurricane? She had resisted once, but no doubt, twice would kill her. Reine glanced at the hole he’d punched in the wall where the painting had hung. He was that whirlwind. He was the harbinger of destruction. He was the tempest that would break her.

Tell me how much you like it -- #MidWeek Tease: Reine's Salvation (Alpha Protectors) #Alpha #paranormal

Happy Hump Day, lovelies!

It's been a crazy few weeks between my latest release and Nanowrimo, as well as the day job and other commitments. I'm still lagging a bit behind on Nano, and emails and visiting blogs, but I couldn't let another week pass without sharing a tease.

Today I'm teasing from my just released novel, Reine's Salvation (Alpha Protectors I).

 Enjoy!

Warning: Hot Tease Ahead

Mystique swallowed a moan as he moved his pelvis, causing his erection to rub against her.

“Do you think I have a problem with performance?”

She threw back her head and laughed. “I’m sorry. No, clearly you don’t have any difficulties.”

Her laughter faded as Reine left a trail of open-mouthed kisses down her neck. He moved his hips again and she whimpered.

“Do you like that?”

“Yes.”

Reine nibbled at the spot between her neck and shoulder and she groaned. Her hips twisted and she found herself rubbing against him. His cock slid against her, rubbing against her wet pussy lips
encased in her leggings and panties.

“Tell me how much you like it, darling.”

His hand slid down her back and over her ass, squeezing it. She groaned and pressed herself firmer against him.

“Tell me.” Reine pinched her ass and dragged his fingers over her pussy before returning to her ass. “Are you wet for me? Do you want me to fuck you?”

Book Spotlight on Alpha Bitch by Loralynne Summers #alpha #erotic #shifter #romance @LL_Summers

Hello!  Thank you for having me today! I’m so excited to share my new release, Alpha Bitch, with you. This story was a bit of a surprise to me. I never expected to write a shifter story. Vampires, yes – I’ve got more than one vampire story in the unfinished files – but I learned early on not to fight my muse and just go with it. I have to say, I am quite pleased with the results.

I don’t know exactly where the idea came from. I can say that I was listening to a lot of Elle King, and the song Ex’s & Oh’s is basically Cassie’s theme song – it’s that “I don’t give a shit what you think of me” and “I’m not taking your shit” attitude that influenced the creation of Cassie. Currently there aren’t any sequels planned for this, but with being a shifter story, which involves packs, there are plenty of secondary characters to work with. So while it’s not a series at the moment, the possibility is there. I do have the feeling that there’s a story lurking out there, I just don’t know who it’s about, lol.

Blurb:
One runs free...
Cassandra Dumas is the Alpha of Stone Point, with no interest in bowing down to any man, let alone her fellow Alphas. At least, not until an accidental encounter triggers the mating bond. So when the High Council orders her to mate the heir of neighboring River Run, she is determined to find a way out of it to be with the only man she truly wants...
One is a captive...
Kieran Kimball is a caged wolf. Forbidden to shift, he chokes daily on his Alpha nature and serves Stone Point however the Alpha sees fit. Recently, he cares only to serve Cassandra. When she sends him away in advance of her forced mating, his world shatters. Until the unthinkable happens...
Together, they'll change all the rules...
Cassandra is nothing if not resourceful. Outsmarting River Run is just one piece of the prize to be won if she can pull off the coup of century while keeping everyone important still breathing.

Excerpt:

Before she could convince her wolf to turn around—because she really didn't want to have to take control and force a shift, leaving her bare-assed while traipsing through the cool woods at night—Kieran came into view. He stopped short at the end of the path.
Her heart, among other parts of her body, warmed at the sight of him. Water dripped from his long hair and ran down his bare chest to disappear beneath the band of his jeans.
“Cassie,” he said, surprise evident in his tone.
Against her better intentions, she walked over to him and rubbed against his leg.
“You shouldn't be here,” he whispered. Regardless of his words, his hand traveled down her back, stroking her fur as she wound around him. If she were a cat she would have purred, the sensation felt so good. He smelled fresh and clean, as if he'd been bathing in the river. He fell to his knees, and she stood in front of him with her head resting on his shoulder.
“Do you need something?”
She whined in response and nuzzled him.
Kieran's arms came around her neck and he buried his face in her fur.
“We can't, Cassandra.” He pulled away and held the sides of her head gently, staring into her eyes. His own were nearly completely gold, as close as his wolf could get to the surface. “You have to go. You have to forget about me. Find another.” His voice was hard.
She whimpered, responding to the authority within him and nearly giving in to the command. The reaction both amazed her and pissed her off at the same time. Cassie's wolf shook her head and stomped a foot.
“Yes. Go. Now.” Kieran stood and stepped back.
Cassie shifted, heedless of her naked body, and stepped forward, reaching for him. Kieran's jaw clenched and he swallowed hard before turning his back on her.
“Go, Cassandra. It's for your own good, and the good of our pack. Go,” he said over his shoulder, entering his cabin without another look at her.
With an indignant huff, Cassie turned and stalked away, hoping he was taking a good long look at what he was rejecting.
