#TNTConfidential 12 Days of Christmas #GIVEAWAY Day 11: JC Wallace & Waiting for Snow #ChristmasStories

He's a little late, but he's finally here! JC Wallace brings us some snow, treats and 3 different reads for this Holiday season!

Hi, everyone! Welcome to the TNT Confidential 12 Days of Christmas!!
Thanks for having me again this year! I will give you some info about me and the holidays!
In addition, I’ve included a link to my holiday story, Waiting for Snow (free on Amazon) and my latest free short, Pink Lace and A Stolen Proposal. Enjoy!

What is your favorite thing about the holidays?
Family. I love to spend time with my family, taking the time to relax, bake, and participate in holiday traditions. Over the years I have passed these traditions onto my children. My daughter says some of her best memories were of Christmas morning in our house.

What inspired you to write your story?
I wanted to write a story that shows that not everyone has it easy over the holidays. Many people are alone or find it hard to find the joy of the season. But despite that there is the ability to move forward and stop living in the past, to find hope and to eventually accept love. That is what Dain has to overcome to find his happiness.

Share a holiday recipe.
I love to make Peanut Butter Blossoms with my kids. They are fun and taste so good!

Ingredients
48 HERSHEY'S KISSES Brand Milk Chocolates
1/2 cup shortening
3/4 cup REESE'S Creamy Peanut Butter
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
1 egg
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
Additional granulated sugar(optional)

Directions
1. Heat oven to 375°F. Remove wrappers from chocolates.
2. Beat shortening and peanut butter in large bowl until well blended. Add 1/3 cup granulated sugar and brown sugar; beat until fluffy. Add egg, milk and vanilla; beat well. Stir together flour, baking soda and salt; gradually beat into peanut butter mixture.
3. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Roll in granulated sugar; place on ungreased cookie sheet.
4. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Immediately press a chocolate into center of each cookie; cookie will crack around edges. Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely. Makes about 48 cookies.

Waiting for Snow

Dain is at the end of his proverbial rope. He lost his job, his boyfriend, and his church after one horrifying accident a few months ago. Now it's Christmas Eve, and he's reminded of each of those loses in a heart-breaking confrontation with his abusive father. As Dain is driving aimlessly, he meets Jake, the local sheriff. Despite the circumstances of their meeting, Jake is very interested in Dain, but can Dain let go of the past and learn to believe in love again?

About JC Wallace

JC Wallace started writing from a young age, but took a break for marriage, kids, and college (in that order). He recently rediscovered his passion and ventured out into the brave new world of publishing with his short, Waiting for Snow, and his first novel, Curiosity Killed Shaney. At night and on the weekends, JC writes about all things men, believing there is nothing hotter than two men finding and loving one another, whether for a night or forever. An avid reader of M/M romance, JC loves a good twist of a plot, HEA, HFN, or tragic ending. He also writes what his bestie calls HUNK (Happy Until the Next Kidnapping).

In his daytime hours, JC works with individuals with autism and behavior problems. He is owned by a beautiful partner, three kids, two grandchildren, two dogs and one cat. He lives in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains in Northern NY.

  1. what I like about Christmas is spending time with family. It's nice to reconnect with family members. We made cookies yesterday. 75 to 100 dozen. Snicker Doodles, Peanut Butter Blossoms, Chocolate chip, Chocolate Pinwheels, Pecan tarts, Mexican Cheese Cookies, Molasses gingerbread man. It was a long day. May you have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

  3. JC, I like about Christmas the traditions. They have been handed down in the family and then practiced when I grew up and now I am trying to live them, to connect to my past and a happy childhood. Not really a champion in the kitchen I cook only on two ocasions throughout the year. One of them is the traditional Christmas Eve dinner, potatoes, Sauerkraut and Bratwurst (yeah, I am German ;) ). Looking forward to reading more of you.

  4. Thank you for a chance to win JC's book :) I enjoy spending time with my family, just a short break away from work and chance to have more time with them and my close friends. I enjoy cooking and sharing some of the results of my baking exploits.
