#TNTConfidential 12 Days of Christmas #GIVEAWAY Day 11: JC Wallace & Waiting for Snow #ChristmasStories

He's a little late, but he's finally here! JC Wallace brings us some snow, treats and 3 different reads for this Holiday season!

Hi, everyone! Welcome to the TNT Confidential 12 Days of Christmas!!
Thanks for having me again this year! I will give you some info about me and the holidays!
In addition, I’ve included a link to my holiday story, Waiting for Snow (free on Amazon) and my latest free short, Pink Lace and A Stolen Proposal. Enjoy!

What is your favorite thing about the holidays?
Family. I love to spend time with my family, taking the time to relax, bake, and participate in holiday traditions. Over the years I have passed these traditions onto my children. My daughter says some of her best memories were of Christmas morning in our house.

What inspired you to write your story?
I wanted to write a story that shows that not everyone has it easy over the holidays. Many people are alone or find it hard to find the joy of the season. But despite that there is the ability to move forward and stop living in the past, to find hope and to eventually accept love. That is what Dain has to overcome to find his happiness.

Share a holiday recipe.
I love to make Peanut Butter Blossoms with my kids. They are fun and taste so good!

Ingredients
48 HERSHEY'S KISSES Brand Milk Chocolates
1/2 cup shortening
3/4 cup REESE'S Creamy Peanut Butter
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
1 egg
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
Additional granulated sugar(optional)

Directions
1. Heat oven to 375°F. Remove wrappers from chocolates.
2. Beat shortening and peanut butter in large bowl until well blended. Add 1/3 cup granulated sugar and brown sugar; beat until fluffy. Add egg, milk and vanilla; beat well. Stir together flour, baking soda and salt; gradually beat into peanut butter mixture.
3. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Roll in granulated sugar; place on ungreased cookie sheet.
4. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Immediately press a chocolate into center of each cookie; cookie will crack around edges. Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely. Makes about 48 cookies.

Waiting for Snow

Dain is at the end of his proverbial rope. He lost his job, his boyfriend, and his church after one horrifying accident a few months ago. Now it's Christmas Eve, and he's reminded of each of those loses in a heart-breaking confrontation with his abusive father. As Dain is driving aimlessly, he meets Jake, the local sheriff. Despite the circumstances of their meeting, Jake is very interested in Dain, but can Dain let go of the past and learn to believe in love again?

About JC Wallace

He recently rediscovered his passion and ventured out into the brave new world of publishing with his short, Waiting for Snow, and his first novel, Curiosity Killed Shaney. At night and on the weekends, JC writes about all things men, believing there is nothing hotter than two men finding and loving one another, whether for a night or forever. An avid reader of M/M romance, JC loves a good twist of a plot, HEA, HFN, or tragic ending. He also writes what his bestie calls HUNK (Happy Until the Next Kidnapping).

In his daytime hours, JC works with individuals with autism and behavior problems. He is owned by a beautiful partner, three kids, two grandchildren, two dogs and one cat. He lives in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains in Northern NY.

#TNTConfidential 12 Days of Christmas #GIVEAWAY Day 10: Nikka Michaels and A Christmas Miracle #ChristmasStories

Christmas... that yummy time of year where miracles happen. Oh yes, both can happen and Nikka Michaels has the recipe you'll need!

What is your favorite thing about the Holidays?

My favorite thing about the holidays is spending time with friends and family. When it can be a super busy and stressful time of year, being surrounded by the people I care about keeps me sane.

What inspired you to write this Christmas story?
I love Christmas and am totally a holiday story junkie. This time of year my Kindle is full of Christmas and holiday themed stories. I was inspired to write A Chris-mas Miracle based on my own experience as an exchange student overseas during the holidays. Being so far from home can be lonely, but when you spend it with your friends and made family you often find yourself making new traditions.

What's one of your favorite things to do for Christmas?

The Easiest Holiday Fudge Recipe Ever!

(I’ve adapted this recipe from The Pioneer Woman Blog but I’m not a big fan of the crushed peppermint candies, so here’s my take on it)
  • 3 cups Chocolate Chips
  • 1 can (14 Oz. Size) Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • Whatever kind of candy or nuts you might enjoy sprinkled onto the fudge. I use crushed Andes mints or also a variation of walnuts and mini marshmallows.
Directions
Line a square 8 x 8 pan with foil and smooth the surface as flat as you can with your hand. Spray foil with nonstick spray to keep the fudge from sticking.

Combine the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk in a double boiler over medium heat. Heat until melted, about 5-7 minutes. You can also try this in the microwave and follow the directions on the package for melting. Stir until smooth, then pour it into the foil-lined pan. Use a spatula to smooth the surface, then sprinkle on the nuts or candy pieces on top.

Refrigerate for 2 hours, lift the entire brick of fudge out of the pan by the foil, then cut into small squares.

You’ve just made fudge!

Exchange student Drew Clarke should be happy. With a once in a lifetime opportunity to travel all over Australia he shouldn’t have any worries. But when his straight roommate who he has a crush on kisses Drew then freaks, he’s left without his only friend. Alone during the holidays and in a foreign country, Drew finds himself lonely. When he meets surf lifesaver, Scott; he thinks he’s found a distraction in six feet of easy on the eyes male. But when Scott wants to keep Drew in the closet, Drew’s had enough. Will his sexy friend and co-worker Chris be able to pull off a miracle for Drew and make his holiday happy?
