Last week was crazy busy and I was unable to participate in our Sunday snippets. Fortunately, things have kinda of returned to normal, although I have a work meeting this afternoon, so I might be a little behind on visiting all your other wonderful snippets.
Today, I'm sharing another snippet from Break Me. I've moved further ahead in the story. Grisha finally has her where he wants her but Ayla isn't giving him the reaction he wants.
Enjoy!

Grisha reached her in two steps, grasped her chin, and tilted her head toward him but Ayla didn’t flinch, didn’t recoil.
“What is wrong with you? You know this piece by heart.”
Ayla pulled in her bottom lip.
“Is it because you’re scared? You aren’t crying,” he said.
“I’m not frightened,” she whispered.
“I’m going to kill you,” he argued, tightening his hold.
She shrugged.
“You have to be terrified.”
The monster lay dormant, until it saw her.
Every few years, the beast within Grisha Vasiliev rouses clamoring
for blood, so when he sees Ayla Clark dancing, her movements exuding grace,
passion and joy, he knows he must have her.
Grisha kidnaps Ayla expecting the usual: resistance, tears, pleas
for mercy. But when Ayla breaks the mold, his whole world spirals out of
control and feelings he thought he could never have again resurface.
He
thought she was perfect, but she’s the broken doll on the shelf.
The last thing Ayla Clark remembers is celebrating
her performance as Giselle and flirting with the handsome, Grisha Vasiliev, the owner of one of the most prestigious ballet companies in the
country. Now, she’s tied up and at his mercy, begging for more of his
attention, while fighting to keep her own secrets buried in the dark.
