#8Sunday #SexySnippets #WeekendWritingWarriors: The Witches' Mischief 5 #fantasy #naughtyfairytales

Happy Sunday!

Today is my last day of holidays and I admit that I'm not looking forward to going back to work, but c'est la vie.

Last week I shared the first few lines of The Witches' Mischief book 5. In it, Morgana had been reading her mother's diary and trying to come to term with the fact that her mother was some sort of goddess.

In today's snippet, she's still doing some thinking...

I hope you like it!

Morgana reopened her eyes and stared at the page. She tapped her fingers against the old wooden desk. The rhythmic sound breaking the silence she'd been submerged in for the past hour. She despised this uncertainty, this lack of information, but more than anything she hated the loneliness that came with it. For the first time in her life she found herself frightened of the dark. She was scared of closing her eyes and hearing nothing, feeling nothing.

As a child, she had never worried about this. She would close her eyes and she would feel the people around her. She would sense her mother's love, her nannies' tenderness. When they traveled, even if the places they stayed in were not the best, she would still feel the people around her, the goodness in them.

  4. Ah, who among us can't sympathize with that lonely feeling. Growing up sucks. Who's ready to return to the good old days of childhood?

    Someone? Anyone?

Okay, I wouldn't either. It's a sad and terrifying time. Excellent snippet!
