#8Sunday #SexySnippets #WeekendWritingWarriors: The Witches' Mischief 5 #fantasy #darkness

Happy Sunday!

Book 5 of The Witches' Mischief series, titled Beauty in the Beast, has been sent for consideration to my publisher. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Last week, if you remember, Morgana was coming to term with her mother's death. I've skipped quite a few lines to come to today's snippet. In it, she's remembering her last task with her mother and how it brought them face to face with a great danger, Darragh, otherwise known as 'The Darkness'. Morgana is now remembering her mother's last words...

I hope you like it!

"I have a dark side too. Everyone has a dark side to them," she said, in an attempt to comfort her mother.
Her mother chuckled, then coughed. Her face turned pasty white and the light in her eyes became dimmer.

"It's not enough. You're a threat to Darragh. He is here because there is no one like you. You bring happiness, love, joy to those that meet you. Heed my words, my child, he will come after you for you are everything he despises."

She pressed her fingers to her eyes. Why wasn’t he here?

  5. Lovely, my friend. If life could only be simple and sweet. I never got to say goodbye to my mom at 50.

  6. That last line makes it sound as though she *wants* Darragh to show up. And speaking of showing up, I hope an acceptance message shows up in your e-mail soon.
