Today I have a work meeting, so I probably won't be reading your snippets until later in the week, but I'll get there!
As for my snippet, I'm sharing another snippet from Seamu's Mate, (Alpha Protectors II). Today, I'd figure I'd share a snippet from Kaila's point of view. A lot of editing and some lines have been ommitted to keep this snippet within the guidelines.
Enjoy and have a lovely day!

When she opened her eyes, her gaze fell on the tall sycamore tree atop one of the rolling green hills which surrounded the Academy. She bit her lip and tried to evade the memory, but it wasinevitable, one look at that place and the memory of Seamus came crashing over her. Her hands became clammy and her heart began to race as she stuffed her things in her bag.
She refused to dwell on the past, yet, as she straightened and threw her bag over her shoulder, she found herself looking at the spot again.
How long had it been? Ten or twelve years at least, probably more.
Nowadays, she had finally managed to stop thinking about him during the day. Sometimes, she was even capable of doing it at night. However, there wasn’t a single week in which she could say thoughts of Seamus hadn’t crossed her mind.
It was slow, painful torture, but she refused to give in.

Kaila is His. His Mate. Forever.
When Seamus discovers Kaila is in danger he sets out to save her. He couldn’t care less that she doesn’t want him there. His objective in life is to love and protect her. Besides, she might refuse to be with him, but her body knows better. With both their lives on the line, she can’t say no to his aid, can she?
For years, she has ignored her feelings. Kaila’s mission was supposed to be easy: enter the demon’s lair and save her sister. Then, he came along. For close to twenty years she has been fighting against the mating pull. She has avoided Seamus at all costs, but now they’re both trapped in hell and she has nowhere to run, except, maybe, into his arms.
