Hello my darlings! I'm totally swapping books today as I've just got release out and I'm excited to share! The Alpha's Claim Anthology (published by Evernight Publishing), saw the light early on Friday morning and is basically a ten author anthology full of love stories that star sexy shifters.

My story is titled Dance for me, Princess, and it features a businessman, Markus Topponiem and a stripper, Sophia.

“You really have to leave,” she murmured.

He took a step toward her. Sophia shuddered. There it was again, the sweet scent, this time mingled with something else. His walked toward her slowly, the fluidity of his movements reminding her of a large cat.

“You have to leave, too, princess.”

His gaze swept over her body, lingering in certain spots that made her neck burn and her pussy clench. He took another bold step, his grin becoming positively devilish.

Here is a little teaser from my story in the antho, Dance for me, Princess

Markus Topponiem tugged at the cuffs of his white shirt,
adjusting it. He crossed his right leg over the left, resting the ankle on
the knee. His hands on his lap, he waited. His gaze slid around the
room, and his cock twitched in expectation of what he hoped was to
come. His heart thundered in his chest, following the lead of his male
organ and anticipating the thing that could change his life forever.

However, even though nerves danced across every pore in his
flesh, he played the part of calm and relaxed. No one who saw him
could have guessed that he was on the verge of breaking down.
Naturally aloof, as was usual among his species, he had been taught
from a young age that expressing emotions openly was risky. His
mother’s early death had made him unnaturally cold, and his ability
to remain poised and under control in any situation had, not
surprisingly, earned him nicknames such as “Ice King” or “Cold
Hearted”. Animals didn’t hunt by being rash and irrational; they sat
and waited. Everything in life, including the building of financial
empires, did well to follow the same rule. Sit, wait, and strike when
the prey was weakest. With that in mind, he conducted business in
what some called a ruthless, heartless way. Perhaps that was why he
was single. He hadn’t found the woman who stirred his predatory
instincts.

Until today.

#TNTConfidential Author Spotlight on Shehanne Moore & Loving Lady Lazuli

Greetings lovely readers! Today I have the pleasure of having with me fabulous historical romance author Shehanne Moore and her novel Loving Lady Lazuli. You might recall that Shehanne came to visit during the #TNTConfidential 12 Days of Christmas Special and that back then she didn't have a cover yet, only a very promising story. This time, she returns with more details on a novel that promises to keep you turning pages, a beautiful cover and a fun quiz! Without further ado, Shehanne and the London Jewel thieves.

Elyzabeth, firstly doodling buddy, may I say what a great pleasure it is to be here again, drawing pictures with you on your fab blog. I think the last time I was here—after I jumped on you and twisted your arm a bit--it was to share Christmas anecdotes. I mean my new release is kindah Christmassy... Sort of anyway... In places...

But let’s not talk of that today. Let’s  talk about the lovely ladies pictured above. The London jewel thieves. Each one a gem in their own right. They’re not all in my new book but I’m hoping they will be in successive ones in the series. If you want to know more I’ve a tab on my blog:

The Starkadder Sisterhood London Jewel Thieves

For today I’m simply going to say ask your readers, so, you just pulled your latest heist and now you need to escape with the loot. Just how far will you get? In other words which jewel thief are you?

You’re stuck with a set of diamonds in a locked room. Do you

Ten years ago sixteen year old Sapphire, the greatest jewel thief England has ever known, ruined Lord Devorlane Hawley’s life. Now she’s dead and buried, all the respectable widow, Cassidy Armstrong, wants is the chance to prove who she really is.

But not only does her new neighbor believe he knows that exactly, he’s hell-bent on revenge.  All he needs is the actual proof.  So when he asks her to choose between being his mistress, or dangling on the end of a rope, only Sapphire can decide…

What’s left for a woman with nowhere left to go, but to stay exactly where she is?

And hope, that when it comes to neighbors, Devorlane Hawley won’t prove to be the one from hell.

“Let him go.”

“Aye. Don’t ‘ee think ‘ee and yore fancy boots ‘ull get away wi’ this. Oih’ll defend ‘ee, moih lydy. Oih’ll get him. Leave this ter me.”

“That’ll be interesting.” Devorlane Hawley tossed his hair out his eyes. “You.” He jerked his head at Ruby.

“Whot? Me?”

He dragged a breath. “Unless you think I am somehow meaning the tree there? Fetch Lord
Koorecroft.”

Lord Koorecroft? The county’s most senior magistrate? A turn for the worse? Now it was a somersault. A woman who planked a stolen necklace on this specimen should not blush to say it was rape. She would have to if he fetched Lord Koorecroft, because then there would be the matter of what the damned man could say to Lord Koorecroft. Being dead and buried might not be enough to save her then. Not when her crimes had been dutifully reported by every newspaper up and down the land. She would hang.

“Lord Koorecroft?” Ruby smoothed a copper tendril of hair back from her forehead. “Whot soddin’ fer?”

“What do you think it’s soddin’ for? To accuse me of rape and molestation. It won’t be difficult. He’s at Chessington right now. You can cut through the hedge. Go on.”

“That’ll be shiny bright.” Fortunately Ruby could always be counted on to do absolutely nothing.

“What do yer think I am exactly? Yer bleedin’ servant?”

“’Ee got no roight after what ee—”

Barron made a strangled sound as Devorlane Hawley jerked the stick so hard across his windpipe,
Cass was almost jerked off her feet.

“I have every right. You all want Lord Koorecroft fetched, don’t you?” He huffed out a breath. “So let’s fetch him. I’m relishing the thought of the little chat I’m going to have with him about our Mrs. Armstrong here.”

About Shehanne

Shehanne is a Scottus writer, a Dundonian by birth. She still lives nearby,  with her husband Mr Shey. She has two daughters.

What hasn’t she worked at while pursuing her dream of becoming a published author, which was why she was delighted to sell The Unraveling of Lady Fury to Etopia Press six days after subbing it  She sold her second His Judas Bride on the day Lady Fury released. Her third book, the first in a series,  Loving Lady Lazuli, will be released on 17th January 2014.

When not writing intriguing historical romance, where goals and desires of sassy, unconventional heroines and ruthless men, mean worlds collide, she plays the odd musical instrument and loves what in any other country, would not be defined, as hill-walking.

#WednesdayBriefs: Myths, Secrets and Love - chapter 9

Happy Wednesday, lovelies! Today's brief is a little shorter due to time constraints on my behalf but here it is! I've used a picture prompt and some word prompts as inspiration. The words are in bold. Enjoy!

Myths, Secrets and Love 9

Rodric stared hard at the tiny thing perched on Arjä’s shoulder. The fairy was as big as his
nose and dressed in green, giving it the appearance of an insect with wings. The thing beat its delicate wings and flew toward him. Rodric dug his fingernails into his palm, fighting the urge to swat at it. The tiny fairy poised herself on his nose. His eyes widened as he realized that though he could not understand her, he was staring back at very human eyes.

Ärja laughed and the creature flew back to her side.

“What’s so funny?”

“She says it is a shame you like men. You are quite handsome.”

“I don’t— Never mind.”

Rodric shuffled his feet. “Well, why are we here? What do they want?”

“They?”

He nodded.

“They don’t want anything. We’re the ones that want something from them.”

“What? Your mother—“

“Told you a few things but there are  other things you need to know.”

“Was that you or the fairy speaking?”

Arjä chuckled. “It was Parisa. She says we have to follow the path to the end. There’s a magical clearing there.”

Without another word, Rodric turned on his heel and continued down the stone path.  Behind him, Arjä chatted silently with the creature. He tried to pick up on what they were saying, but was unable to understand a word. Sighing heavily, he concentrated on what lay ahead. Queen Lenara had told him that Fergus was three lands beyond the sun.

“What is that, a riddle? I thought you knew where he was?” He clenched his teeth and blinked quickly, struggling against the tears forming at the back of his eyes. Fergus was lost and he was neck deep in a blind chase.

“Calm down, Rodric. The land you seek has no name; it is called like that by those that know of its existence.”

“To reach it you must make three other stops and seek three things.”

“Rodric?” Rodric jumped at the soft touch of Arjä’s hand on his arm.

“Parisa says you must remove your shoes before stepping on the grass. It’s sacred.” Huffing, Rodric pulled off his boots and threw them aside.

“Good enough or do I need to take off anything else?” He spread his feet apart and opened his arms, exposing himself to Arjä’s less than amused gaze.

“Yes, that is fine.” Arjä rolled her eyes and nimbly side stepped him, taking the lead among the neatly trimmed blades of grass.

“All right, then,” Rodric snapped, marching behind her and ignoring the pleasurable way his feet sunk into the soft mat of green.

Rodric frowned. There was something in the distance, though what he could not fathom. From where he stood it looked like the glow of an eerie lamp.

“Arjä, what is that?”

He stared, rooted in place as he realized that the ball of light was coming toward them.
“What in the gods name?”

As sudden as a wave, the flying orb crashed against him. There was no pain or shock, only tingling pinpricks of warmth.

He felt lighter than he’d ever felt before. His worries dissipated. His exhaustion evaporated. It would be all right. He’d find Fergus and they’d be together again. A tingling sensation swept over him and he yawned. Something soft brushed his hand and he glanced down. A red bug was climbing up his arm. He thought of killing it but the tiny insect wormed its way under his shirt, making him laugh as its tiny legs tickled his arm. Another insect, this one blue, was climbing up his leg.

“Arjä, have you seen these creatures?” His voice sounded strange but he played it no heed. His jaw cracked as another yawn took over him. His eyes started to close. He chuckled as he thought about sitting down and squashing all the tiny insects crawling over his body. That would show them. His eyes started to drift close.

#TNTConfidential Author Spotlight on Iyana Jenna and Improvise

Happy Tuesday, darlings! It's a #TNTConfidential author spotlight day again and today I have a lady you all might know well: Iyana Jenna is dropping in with her Amazon best seller Improvise.

Hi Elyzabeth, thank you again for allowing me to visit your blog. So here is a bit about my recent release, Improvise.

A stage actor, Tim Gregory found someone had broken into his changing room and turned everything upside-down. When insurance investigators Brent Sullivan and his partner came to see him, he it was to answer to his previous call. It turned out that the agents wanted to question him on a missing necklace that was stolen some time ago.

Tim felt as though he was looking at his own reflection in the mirror, only a few years older. His dad was very young when he had Tim, and everyone agreed he had aged well. Tim had his dad’s eyes and lips—something that somehow made his dad very proud. That was when he didn’t seem infatuated by his own son. Tim wouldn’t willingly stay in a room alone with his father. Simply looking at him from across this glass panel made Tim wary.

“My son.” Paul smiled like a predator. “You’re such a sight for sore eyes. I’ve missed you, boy. What brings you to this lonely corner of the world?”

Tim had only come to get some answers, nothing else. He certainly didn’t plan to indulge in small talk. “Dad, you lied to everybody. Why?”

Paul kept beaming. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“Cut it out, will you? I’ve got men messing things up at my place and insurance investigators on my tail. Tell me, what are you hiding and where?”

Paul’s face hardened and his fingers tightened on the handset. He leaned forward, almost pressing his nose at the glass panel. Tim resisted the urge to pull back.

“What did you tell them?” Paul hissed. He glanced back at a guard standing with a bored face.
“Nothing. I had no idea what they were talking about, what your friends were looking for. Tell them to stay away from me. You are—I don’t want to have anything to do with you.”

As if he hadn’t heard Tim’s words, Paul gritted his teeth. “The necklace is mine. Don’t you dare lay your hands on it.”

“Fuck you and your necklace. I don’t even know where it is. I don’t want to know and I don’t care.”

“Keep your voice down, damn it.” But Paul’s face showed puzzlement. He hissed, “What do you mean you don’t know? My lawyer gave it to you on the second day of the trial.”

“I don’t, okay? Do I need to spell it to you? I never received anything from your lawyer.” Tim huffed. “Then it must be with your lawyer. Now tell your friends to leave me alone.”

“They’re not my friends, leaving me to rot here all by myself. By the way, my lawyer couldn’t have known. I put it in a thick sealed envelope. I saw myself when he gave it … wait.” Paul frowned. “That’s right. He didn’t give it to you.”

“Surprise, surprise.”

About Iyana:

Iyana lives in Jakarta, a city famous for its traffic jams, a lot of cars and motorcycles, and people selling stuff on the roads. You can spend two hours on the road going to a place you can reach in half an hour in a normal situation. Thanks to the traffic jams, though, Iyana can come up with a lot of stories, mostly shorties, as she prefers to spend the time during her trips writing into her cell phone rather than sleeping.

Another thing Iyana loves is kitties. Right now she has five of them. Their names are Larva, Nyil, Cil, Mermood, and Horus. When she doesn’t write, she plays with them, or they would play with her when she writes.
