Tomorrow is a holiday here so I'm looking forward to a day of reading some awesome Weekend Writing Warriors and some Sexy Snippets as well as some writing.
I'm continuing with the story from the previous weeks. In previous posts we saw that Kaila was in front of a Sin's door, staring in horror at the grotesque depictions. She's down there because she needs to access into his lair to save his sister. She had just decided that it was time to go inside when someone stopped her.

“Babe?”
How
many times had she told him not to call her that and yet he insisted?
“You
gonna stand there all day, seething?” He paused. “Babe.” She could almost hear the grin
in his voice as he drawled out the endearment.
“How
long have you been there, Guardian?” Kaila asked.
“Long
enough to see you sweat it for a bit.”
“You could’ve
helped.” She clenched her jaw.

It seems like the Guardian is an inveterate teaser.
ReplyDeleteLol, love it. Sparks are gonna fly, aren't they?
ReplyDeleteHe seems to be having fun. LOL
ReplyDeleteVery nice. So ready to see what comes next.
ReplyDeleteOoh, he knows how to get under her skin, and how to help her. This is going to be interesting!
ReplyDeleteVery natural and quite delicious.
ReplyDeleteWho is this person? He sounds very interesting and annoying at the same time.
ReplyDeleteOk well, I like him. He's probably really annoying but a good guy to have on hand when the going gets tough. Loved the snippet!
ReplyDeleteI know he's driving her crazy... but I like him! More please!
ReplyDeleteClearly this Guardian likes to torment; especially calling her Babe when she has specifically asked him not to. I wonder what she will find inside the door.
ReplyDeleteWell he's certainly pushing her buttons. I hate when men don't listen to a woman's request (not calling her 'babe'). His playful persistence makes him likable IHO.
ReplyDeleteWhat a stinker, standing there watching her sweat it out!
ReplyDeleteExcellent character development in this snippet, Elyzabeth.
Enjoy your holiday!
A tad too long, she's thinking...and here come the results of that thought...
