#SexySnippets and #8Sunday Weekend Writing Warriors A Dragon's Heart, A Demon's Blood

Welcome to another #SexySnippet #8Sunday ! My Promo Tour for A Dragon's Heart, A Demon's Blood is slowly coming to an end (check here for the upcoming dates) so I think either this Sunday or the next will be the last (for some time) in which I share a snippet of this book with you.

The following sentences follow last week's post.

The portal to the demon world opened silently, the wall in front of them transforming into a twisted passage of fire and flame. Victoria’s eyes widened for a split second before Adrian surreptitiously placed his palm on the side of her neck and applied pressure. She crumbled into his arms in a dead faint. With a quiet sigh of relief, he gathered her closer and stepped into the demon realm. It was a painless transition, almost like stepping into another room, as long as you had blood to offer, knew the
password and had permission to enter. Had anyone else attempted the passage without those three things, the ride would have probably been more violent, as the demons would need to decide if the creature approaching was dangerous to their realm or not.

Thankfully, Victoria had trusted him.

Had she not agreed to go with him she would have died instantly in one of two ways, either poisoned by the demon’s air or suffering from agonizing pain, her skin breaking into sickening blisters that would have exploded, leaving her a bloodied mess writhing in his arms. Adrian walked further inside, taking his time to travel the empty passage and get lost in his thoughts for a few minutes before the demon sentinels appeared to guide him to Zendaya. The dragon inside him was roaring, bouncing against the cage in its heart. It was an unpleasant feeling, one that caused beads of sweat to roll down his temple and dampen his hair. Damn, he hadn’t felt this sick since Dragoon had died and he’d sworn vengeance over his body. He glanced at Victoria, passed out in his arms. Her face was surprisingly peaceful. Her cheeks glowed with a healthy pink, her lips parting slightly with every murmur of a whispered breath.

Adrian, you’re an ass.

TnT Confidential: Sandra Bunino

Happy Thursday my dears! Today I have with me author Sandra Bunino and her delicious novel Marooned with the Millionaire.

Thanks for having me on your site to share my new release, Marooned with the Millionaire! I hope your readers enjoy the sexy little snippet I added below.

A fierce Miami storm bring sexy strangers together at The Hotel Del Santos for a night of desire.

Stephanie, still reeling from a failed marriage, needs a break from the past. Shying away from the convention center crowds while on a business trip, she finds solace tucked away in a secluded hotel on South Beach.

Jason, a wealthy Seattle builder, has the worst luck with love. He swears he will never allow another woman to get under his skin, until the clicking of a pair of sexy stilettos across the hotel lobby floor attracts his attention.

Cut off from the outside world, the lives of these two strangers collide and burn with desire when a storm strands them together. Neither wants anything more than a glorious one-night stand.

Their chemistry is undeniable and propels them to a second meeting in Sin City. However, Stephanie soon learns she has more reason to be wary of her mysterious lover than a broken heart.

Excerpt:

Stephanie sipped her martini while glancing over to the window. The storm showed no signs of letting up. In fact, it seemed to grow even more fierce. As if on cue, a violent crack of thunder ripped through the lounge as the rain angrily batted at the window. Carlos poured her yet another martini and she lost count of how many times he’d refilled her glass. Was this the third or the fourth? She knew one thing for sure: Jason Royce was sexy as hell. The way his blue eyes sparkled, as the candlelight flickered shadows against his tanned features, rocked her to her core.
Stealing a glance at his strong, muscular build beneath his sports jacket caused her breath to catch in her throat. Until today, she hadn’t thought of another man this way, not since before she was married. As if in a trance, she couldn’t break her stare. However, she quickly became aware of his smile. He watched her drink him in, which made her blush and turn her head in embarrassment.
Jason moved closer and spoke slowly in his silky voice. “I wonder if you might dance with me.”
I’d like that.” Whoa. What the hell am I doing?
He led her to the dance floor illuminated only with candlelight and the occasional flash of lightning. Placing one hand in his and the other on his back, their bodies started out a respectable distance apart. Before long, Jason’s warmth drew her in, and she couldn’t ignore the electricity forming between them. Tentatively, she stepped closer and lightly rested her head against his neck. Jason took this as a cue to guide her hand up and over his shoulder. Suddenly, his strong hands urgently pulled her against his rock hard body. The force of his embrace awakened a passion that lay dormant inside her until now. Stephanie couldn’t fight the fire building within her. She closed her eyes and breathed deeply, inhaling his musky scent while caressing his neck with her fingertips. Her face grazed up the side of his neck, stopping at his jawbone. Jason’s touch seared her skin as his fingertips skimmed up her side to her neck and came to rest on her chin. With his thumb and finger, he guided her face upward and she opened her eyes. His smoldering gaze burned a trail down her body. Uncomfortable with the intensity of his stare, she looked away.
Stephanie.”
Her eyes shifted back to meet his gaze as he lowered his mouth and softly brushed his lips against hers, questioning her, awaiting a response. Accepting his invitation, she parted her lips and moaned softly. His lips were soft and enticing. It had been a long time since she was kissed like this. She surrendered her tongue to his and felt desire fill her belly as an overwhelming passion grew by the moment. Breathlessly, she pulled away, embarrassed by her body’s reaction to the kiss. She looked down and pressed her forehead against his chin.
I don’t know why I did that. I need to go sit down.”

Morgan agrees to help him and they must work together to find the witch and pinpoint the hex she used in order to undo it. As they search, feelings ignite and a romance blossoms. Will this bad luck spell end their love, or will their love be strong enough to break the incantation?

Be Warned: sex toys

Excerpt:

Morgan opened her eyes and watched as the glittering aura lights danced before her. They reached the window and passed through the glass on the way to the girl. Once all the lights were gone, she glanced at Daniel. A big smile crossed his handsome face, but her attention went below it. A rock rose inside his pants, large and long. She gulped, and the need to see it minus his jeans suddenly grew too strong.

No, she shouldn't look. Instead she closed her eyes and tried to conjure up more peaceful images of nature and sunlight. Those images didn't come though. Instead, she saw her silky bedroom sheets.

Her body lay on those sheets, writhing in passion as her legs spread open and in the air. Daniel's head bobbed between her thighs, and his tongue lapped at her warm, natural juices.

She gulped, gasped, and opened her eyes.

His lustful gaze met hers. Lust that matched her own and her heart pulsed fast inside her chest. Her center grew damp, and she longed for his touch.

"I think your thoughts were similar to mine."

She didn't reply to Daniel's statement. Instead, Morgan tried to stand. Her knees grew weak as she rose to her feet.

Daniel stood, too. "You can't deny you were thinking about it, too."

"I wasn't denying anything."

He crossed to her and wrapped his arms around her back. Warmth filtered through her, and Morgan felt herself blush. When he spoke, his breath tickled her skin. "I was thinking about how good it would be to lay you down in my bed."

"You don't have a bed. It was stolen."

His chuckling made her wetter. There was something so sexy about his voice. "The floor, then." Daniel pulled her closer to himself until she rubbed against him. His hard cock pressed into her navel, and she tilted her head upward to meet his gaze. His lips brushed hers. The kiss started tender and slow. She opened her mouth to invite him inside.

She lay on the floor, his body pressing into hers. His hands touched her sides, slipping under her shirt. His lips left hers and instead kissed her neck. He found her breasts, rubbing his palms over her nipples. Only the thin lace of her bra separated her flesh from his.

Morgan moaned. The need inside her multiplied, and she wanted to touch him, feel him, taste him. She flipped him over until she was on top and he on the bottom. She raked her fingertips over his chest and abs, feeling the hard muscle beneath the black t-shirt. But feeling and seeing were two different things, and she wanted to see. Taking the hem of his shirt, she raised it until his smooth and taut skin lay open for her to feast on. She ran her tongue over the ridges of his six-pack.

Daniel inhaled sharply, and she smiled as she kissed him right below the belly button. Morgan glanced at the trail of hair leading to somewhere below his pants. She undid the button, her hands on the zipper.

"Is this supposed to happen?"

She tried to glance at his face, but who was she kidding? The hardness in his pants was more appealing. "You mean the hard-on. It means you're excited. It's totally natural."

Morgan met his eye, and he shook his head. His gaze moved somewhere beside and beyond her. "No, I mean is the candle supposed to fly?"

"Shit!" Morgan pushed away from Daniel. She watched, bewildered, as black and dark blue winds danced around the room. The candle was high off the floor.

"I'm guessing something is wrong."

"Very wrong."

The flame didn't go out despite the sudden winds in the room. It rose, high and strong and fierce. Then the wind died quickly. The candle dropped to the floor. Flames danced over the hardwood planks. The fire happened too quickly to be natural. Some sort of magical force was behind it.

"Come on, we have to go!" She urged him by pulling his arm until he stood and ran behind her. Once they were outside, her fingers fumbled with the buttons on her phone as she dialed 911. Daniel stood beside her. His face was white, whiter than the nice tan he had all day. "What…" He stuttered. "What just happened?"

"The spell didn't work. Peace and forgiveness didn't get to her. Something repelled them, and her anger came at us, manifesting itself as the wind. This spell is stronger than I first thought. Something or someone is controlling it."

Adrian shuddered. The Eaters were the worst kind of demons, and even he felt apprehensive in their presence. He’d asked Zendaya for a special sort of monster to scare Victoria into submission but he hadn’t expected her to send one of the spirit scavengers. These demons had no shadowy manifestations, nor could they impersonate humans. They were the demons of myths and
legends, the sort that scared humans to death. The creature walked toward them on unsteady and stilted goat legs, blood dripping from festering wounds on its human torso. He sneered at them and lifted an arm, his hands ending in long, slashing claws that could easily rip your heart out.

The smell of fear and panic rose off her in waves. She’d always felt the eyes, seen shadows, but she
had no idea of what really lay behind. Now, for the first time ever she was catching a full glimpse of the watchful eyes.
“I…”
“I can take you to safety, Victoria. I can’t explain now. You just have to trust me.” He took a step back, dragging her with him as the demon approached them with hesitant, eerie steps, emitting low
cries.

Disclaimer:  This is an 18+ book with erotic BDSM scenes and explicit language.

Can two dark souls ever make a light?

As president of her own distribution company, Julie Dawson has all she ever wanted -- money, power, and respect. But her carefully crafted façade conceals a  torment of abuse and helplessness.  After years remaining emotionally aloof, she is finally independent, but alone. Because she refuses to rely on anyone but herself ever again.

Evan Adams is no stranger to success, or personal demons. The horrific trauma that destroyed his twin sister, and tore his family apart, forced him to craft a new life from the ashes of the old. He's content enough, focusing ahead and not dwelling on his murky past. But something important is missing. He knows what that thing is but refuses to acknowledge it.

When a chance encounter brings these two strong-willed but damaged people together , what seems like a long, erotic journey through hell could lead them to a match made in heaven.

A coming of age novel about trust...on the long road to love.

Welcome Liz, tell us a little about your latest release…Mutual Release is the 7th book in my top selling Stewart Realty series. It is the story of 2 characters introduced in earlier books, Julie Dawson and Evan Adams but written as a stand alone novel. It has BDSM and D/s elements but not as the main story.

What was your inspiration?  I always knew I’d write their story, the second I introduced them in the first three books (Floor Time/Sweat Equity/Closing Costs) and then expanded Julie’s relationship with Sara in Escalation Clause. This entire series has grown from the introduction of various side characters and each one has proven to be enjoyable to write.

What was the process of writing Mutual Release like? Did you have to do any research? Tell us about it. My process is pretty much the same for all of the 21 or so books I’ve written and had published: I get hit with a concept, spend some time head writing as I go about my daily life. Then open the laptop and get down to it, forgoing said “daily life” in exchange for getting the story out of my head.
I write what I know, so the settings and circumstances these folks find themselves in did not require any extra research per se. I do keep up with the “trends” in BDSM and D/s fiction just to make sure I don’t appear like a copy cat.

What was the most challenging thing you encountered while writing Mutual Release?
I think it would have to be working through Evan’s guilt about acknowledging his true self. As a teen he encounters a boy who appears “normal” but turns about to be a truly evil human being. Unfortunately, Evan is introduced to his own fetish preferences in the BDSM scene by this young man and when he reveals what he is to the world, Evan is knocked for a loop that is life changing on many levels. Being able to express that, show it and how he works through it as he goes from teenager to adult was challenging.

If there was one thing you could change about Mutual Release what would it be?  At this point there is not a single thing I would change. I am very happy with this project.

Are you currently working on anything new? Always! I have the final Stewart Realty novel clanging around in my head. Good Faith will be released in November and will have a story lines that deals in the power of addiction, and parental guilt, along with the personal redemption that can be gained by honest self-awareness.
And of course,  I have the hot soccer man trilogy coming out in the fall!

A closet look at the author...

When did you first start writing? Why?
In 2009 and because I was frustrated with what I’d been reading.  I am not a “always wanted to write” sort of author, more of a “why not?” sort of one.

What’s your favorite part of writing?   The moment I have an “ah ha!” moment with a plot, typically when I’m doing something else.

What would we find you doing on a quiet weekend at home?  What are those? No, seriously, I own and manage a beer bar and craft brewery so “weekends” are just another workday for me.

Sweet or sour? Sour

Coffee or tea? Coffee

Day time or night time?  Definitely night time.
