More dragonblood than human, Primrose Cadet yearns to find her fated mates and ease the loneliness of her secluded life. But with her beta behind psychiatric bars and the other denying his beastly nature—and hers—she’ll have to fight for them, even if it means exposing her heritage.

A manipulative voice in his head promising he can fly landed Jaxon Denham in the psych ward. Eighteen and legally allowed to finally leave his parent’s enforced prison, he searches out the golden goddess of his dreams, the one the voice within claims will give them the release they crave.

Doctor Patrick Macaire fought his inner darkness for thirty-four years, living a life of self-control and discipline to prove his sanity. When a barely legal boy and seductive siren threaten the foundation of his calm existence, he’s driven to battle the voice inside and remain untouched.

But fate is clever, and Patrick’s relentless mates won’t allow him peace, catching him up in unhuman-like passion that threatens his self-identity. Will he accept he’s an alpha dragonblood born to dominate his mates, or will his human side keep the three from fulfilling their destiny.

EXCERPT:

The second night I’d stood cloaked outside Lockwood’s eastern wing, the need to be impulsive, something I’d never dealt with before, fought my better judgment. Regardless of my beta’s mental state, I had wanted to sneak into his room and allow him to have his way with me, claim me like my inner dragon longed for.

Luckily, my ancestors had kept informative records in the cavern’s library of my sheltered upbringing, so I understood all the possible sexual positions—and means of giving pain for pleasure—as most alpha blood born were known for. Unfortunately, I had no personal knowledge of such things, and my dragon was determined to undermine my will to wait for his freedom.

My fingers ached from grasping the chain-link fence to keep my human form in place. The energy linking me to the window strengthened and pulled taut as a shadow moved into view. Even with my dragon sight, I couldn’t make out the color of his hair or eyes, but as he turned his head side to side as though seeking out where the energy attaching us came from, I took note of a strong nose and full lips, a square jaw I wanted to lick and nip with my teeth as he thrust into me.

Arousal, hot and wet, rose between my thighs, same as the previous night, and I bit my lips, my dragon’s needy growl rumbling in my chest as my beta locked his gaze on where I stood, cloaked by a dragonblood gift and darkness.

Want.

My human form wanted, too, and I swallowed as my dragon attempted to take over in a burst of golden light I quickly squashed. “Soon,” I promised with a whisper.

Through the tall, barred windows, I realized my beta’s hand moved over his body, the heat in the energy linking us rising. Did he touch himself? He propped his forehead on the window, shoulder hunched as though in pain, and again, I fought the need to shift, tear through the fence and walls to free my beta mate.

His form stiffened, and head tipped back, and the most luscious race of tingles swept through me, settling in my core.

Need.

Lower lip between my teeth, I released one hand from its hold and slid my fingertips down over the front of my leggings where I throbbed. I gasped as the feather touch grazed the hardened nub at the top of my slit, and I rubbed back up over it, my hips bucking on their own as though he thrust into me, burying against my womb.

Heat exploded like a blinding light through the energy between us, capturing my human form and my inner dragon in a euphoric race to the stars. I cried out, unable to keep my lips sealed as wave after wave rippled through my body, pulsing my pussy where his hard length ought to be.

I gasped for breath, my stare on the window as he slowly moved away from sight seconds later. Wetness coated my leggings, the sweet scent of my cum rising to fill my nose.

Please.

My dragon whimpered with the need for more, for our beta’s physical touch, but I tore myself away from the fence and focused on the motel’s room where I would plan my silent, cloaked assault on the mental hospital where one of my mates remained locked inside.
I would free him come morning—or die trying to.

#WednesdayBriefs: Myths, Secrets and Love - chapter 15

Happy Wednesday and welcome to another chapter of Rodric's adventure. If you don't remember what happened last week, want to catch up, or reread everything just because, please click here. Otherwise, on you go! The prompt I used for this week is in bold.

Myths, Secrets and Love 15

“Let’s try this again.” The dragon lord smiled mischievously. “Welcome to my home, Rodric Belavue. I hear you are looking for help. Perhaps, we can be of assistance.”

Rodric narrowed his eyes at the Dragon Lord’s mocking tone. This was not boding well. Sighing, he braced himself to reveal all. While bathing and redressing, he’d been allowed a moment of solitude. In the end, he’d decided that he had nothing to lose by telling the dragon the truth. His only options were to be eaten or to reveal all.

“I am looking for a friend and I need help to get to another plane.” He sipped at the red wine served to him.

The Dragon Lord’s eyebrows shot up. He pursed his mouth and stared at him for an instant before taking a bite out of the salad served to them.

“A friend? You’re doing all this for a friend?” He shook his head. “I am impressed.”  He pointed his fork at him. “Why is he so valuable to you?”

“That is personal.” Rodric replied. He scowled at the young man, who in turn laughed.
“Very well. I’ll allow you that secret, for now.” He took several bites of his food before plunging on. “You must understand, we don’t normally work as transportation for mortals. We have other interests.”

“What is your price?”

“You can’t pay it.”

“Then why am I still sitting here? Why am I still alive?” Rodric slammed his fist on the table, frustrated.

The Dragon Lord shrugged. “I was curious to know you. Rumors abound about you, Belavue.” The boy smiled. “To be honest, they exaggerate a lot. You’re not as handsome, tall, strong and brave as I was told.”

“What do you want from me?”

“Why, some good company.”

“You’re toying with me.”

“Of course.” The Dragon Lord sighed and focused his gaze on him. A shiver ran down Rodric’s spine, a feeling of foreboding settling in his gut. “There is one thing that would compensate the price of our service.”

Rodric took another sip from his drink, bracing himself for the worst.

“What?”

“Arjä.”

“What about her?”

“Give us the Unicorn princess and we’ll serve as your personal mode of transport to Devil’s Land.”

“What? I can’t do that.”

“Why not?” The Dragon Lord cocked his head, watching him as if he really didn’t understand. “You save the friend you lust after. We keep the girl that annoys you. I don’t see the problem.”

“She’s a friend too.”

“Well, you can’t have it all, Belavue. Either you keep the girl and lose your friend to the Demon’s or you give us the girl and find your friend.” The Dragon Lord smirked. “Or what’s left of him.”

“Why do you want her?”

“We have old business.”

“With that Raskard snake.”

The Dragon Lord’s eyes narrowed into yellow slits. “We are not snakes, Belavue, and it would do you well to remember that in the future.”

Rodric swallowed and nodded. They’d given him back his clothes but not his weapons. He’d do anything for the feel of his sword at this side right now. His thoughts strayed to Arjä. What did they want from her?

“Where is Arjä? I would like to speak to her before deciding anything.”

“I’m afraid that’s not possible.”

“Have you killed her already?”

The Dragon Lord burst out laughing. “You really think we are barbarians, eh? I told you earlier she was with Raskard and he was taking care of her needs. Your decision however has to be your own. You two together could plot anything and I won’t allow it. I’ll give you until tomorrow to come to a decision, Belavue. It’s not that hard. Keep the girl and lose your friend, or lose the girl and find your friend.” The young man shrugged and snapped his fingers. A pretty servant hurried to fill his goblet of wine. “It’s really not that hard.”

#WednesdayBriefs: Myths, Secrets and Love - chapter 14

Happy Wednesday !

As i was writing today's Brief I got to thinking and wondering if you guys would like to read some chapters from Arjä's point of view. This is mainly Rodric's quest, but she could offer a different perspective and at the back of my mind I have her own story going around in circles and asking for an outing. For a while, I even thought about sneaking in a chapter from Fergus's POV but I think I prefer for him to remain a mystery. Please let me know your thoughts.

Anyway, on to today's brief! Rodric, if you remember from last week has just met the sexy yet young-looking Dragon Lord. He's not impressed, especially since the Dragon Lord is trying to get him to tell him what brought them into his lands and is not being very nice about it.  The last thing the Dragon Lord said and to what Rodric is answering at the beginning of this chapter was: “A man after my own heart, distrustful to the core. Isn’t it obvious, Captain Belavue?”

Myths, Secrets and Love 14

"No, it’s not apparent.” Rodric shook his head. Of course it was obvious, the Lord wanted something from him, though what, only he knew. The youngster chuckled.

“Playing the fool in a desperate attempt to get your head around things, are we not, Captain?”

The Lord stood from his seat and stretched, his toned muscles flexing. A shiver raced down Rodric’s spine as the man’s green eyes focused on him.

“Your options are limited, Captain. They are but two.” He lifted his hand, showing off two fingers with long nails. “Option number one is for you to tell me what brought you here. Option number two—“ Rodric gasped and stumbled back as before his eyes the man shifted. Green eyes turned into yellowish slits, sharp canines elongated and enormous red wings sprouted from the Lord’s back.

 “You become my next meal.”

Rodric fell to his knees as a claw touched his shoulder. He shook uncontrollably. Fear and awe mingling inside of him as the Dragon Lord’s word echoed in his head. Fergus’s face danced behind his lids. The memory of losing him forever came afore and squeezed at his heart. He would not succumb to the dragon, not without a fight. He hadn’t made it this far to fail now. He took in a deep breath and forced his eyes open.

The Dragon Lord stood before him in his human form, except for his yellowish eyes. Rodric grinned. A rebel youngster. Fuck. He knew better than to be fooled by appearances. The Dragon Lord crouched in front of him, grinning. He eased toward him, his lips barely a breadth away.

“Don’t be afraid, Captain.” The Lord’s sensual voice wrapped itself around him like a hypnotizing caress. “But don’t ever underestimate me and my kind.” He pressed his lips against his softly for a second before pulling back. “Tell me, what do you want from us?”

“What guarantee do I have that if I tell you, you won’t eat me or Arjä?”

“Fuckan bistir.” The Dragon Lord moved back, chuckling under his breath. “I could have eaten you two seconds ago and I did not. Take that as you will.”

Rodric swallowed and slowly got to his feet. His chains rattled loudly. Standing to his full height he stared down at the Dragon Lord.

“Unchain me, give me back my clothes and I will tell you the reason for our visit.”

“Are you mad? You’re trying to bargain with me?”

“I’m simply trying to speak to you from one man to another. You are already in a position of superiority. I am in your territory. You’re stronger, larger, probably faster. You can do things I have never deemed possible. At least let me have my fucking clothes back."

“Geaglia.”

A beautiful woman with long dark hair and dressed in a simple tunic that barely reached her highs, appeared at the door. She bowed her head in deference to the Lord.

“Wis ha, gavo ha bic ha cletho in bran ha bic fe danno.”

“What—“

The woman turned to him and grinned. In one smooth movement she slipped off her tunic. Rodric’s jaw fell as she took a step toward him and shifted into a large black creature. With one snap of her jaws she took hold of his chains. He fell to his knees.

“Go with Geaglia, she’ll take good care of you.” The Dragon Lord burst out laughing as the she-dragon dragged him away from the chamber.

#WednesdayBriefs: Myths, Secrets and Love - chapter 13

Happy Wednesday darlings! My apologies for not briefing for the past few weeks, but the month of February got out of hand. It’s been chaotic. *sigh* Hopefully March will be a little calmer. Anyhow, here I am back with Rodric’s quest in his search for Fergus. We’ve met mermaids, unicorns, fairies and last time I briefed, Rodric and Arjä had been ambushed by dragons, which aren’t exactly friendly.

If you don't remember what happened last week, want to catch up, or reread everything just because, please click here. Otherwise, on you go! The prompt I used for this week was the hunky guy below.

Myths, Secrets and Love 13

Rodric stared at the man before him. He was not what he had imagined a Dragon Lord would look like, especially after Raskard’s impressive entrance earlier. He imagined a fierce creature, large, old and maybe even scaly. What he wasn’t expecting was the kid sitting in front of him.

The man introduced to them as The Lord was too young. His long dark locks unevenly cut framed a boyish face with deep green eyes. His body was hard and muscled but lean, like a man that still had to grow into his flesh. He was certainly tattooed. From his right shoulder to his knees intricate patterns of red and black ink danced over his skin. The designs did little to improve his opinion of The Lord. The tattoos didn’t help inspire fear, to the contrary they reminded him of a rebellious child, eager to prove himself to others in any way.

“Rodric Belavue. I hope my people have not been too rough on you.”
Rodric narrowed his eyes. The Lord’s voice was masculine, yet soft, like a serpents quiet hissing. He felt the man’s green gaze pinned on him and nodded.
“They’ve separated me from my companion, taken my weapons, stripped me naked and chained me. I’ve had worse treatment.”

The Lord swept back his hair and grinned at him. Rodric flinched at the sight of the twin dimples on his cheeks. How old could he possibly be?

“I am glad to hear it. I wouldn’t want to kill you before I can figure out your worth.”

The boy leaned back against his stack of pillows and gazed at him. Rodric shivered as his green eyes shifted, becoming yellow reptilian slits.

“Do not make the mistake of underestimating me because of my appearance, Belavue. Others have died because of that.”

“What?”

The dragon lord laughed.  Rodric swallowed. His palms were clammy and he fought the urge to swipe them on the loin cloth they’d placed around his nether regions.

“What do you want from us, Rodric Belavue?”

“Where is Arjä.”

“Ah Arjä.” The Lord closed his eyes and wetted his lips with the tip of his tongue as if he could taste the unicorn princess just by saying her name. “The beautiful yet silly unicorn princess. Do not worry about her. I’m sure Raskard is taking good care of her needs.”

Rodric frowned.

“She—“

The Lord sighed dramatically and cradled his face with his palm. “She and Raskard have a history. I assure you, she’ll be safer with him then in the dungeons where I’ll be sending you unless you tell me why you’ve come into my territory.”

“Could I not have been looking for a new home in the Island?”

The Lord threw back his head and laughed.

“You? I can see into your heart, Rodric Belavue. You are a thief and a killer, but you have scruples and morals and you’re, “ he shuddered, “in love. You’re not desperate enough to seek a home in Fire Island.” A devilish grin crossed the Lord’s face. Rodric paled at the sight of the sharp canines glinting in the dim light. “Not yet, at least. Now, tell me. Where are you headed and why do you seek our aid. I don’t have all day.”

“Why would you aid me?”

The dragon chuckled. “A man after my own heart, distrustful to the core. Isn’t it obvious, Captain Belavue?”

#SexySnippets and #8Sunday Weekend Writing Warriors A Dragon's Heart, A Demon's Blood

Welcome to another #SexySnippet #8Sunday ! My Promo Tour for A Dragon's Heart, A Demon's Blood is slowly coming to an end (check here for the upcoming dates) so I think either this Sunday or the next will be the last (for some time) in which I share a snippet of this book with you.

The following sentences follow last week's post.

#SexySnippets

The portal to the demon world opened silently, the wall in front of them transforming into a twisted passage of fire and flame. Victoria’s eyes widened for a split second before Adrian surreptitiously placed his palm on the side of her neck and applied pressure. She crumbled into his arms in a dead faint. With a quiet sigh of relief, he gathered her closer and stepped into the demon realm. It was a painless transition, almost like stepping into another room, as long as you had blood to offer, knew the
password and had permission to enter. Had anyone else attempted the passage without those three things, the ride would have probably been more violent, as the demons would need to decide if the creature approaching was dangerous to their realm or not.

Thankfully, Victoria had trusted him.

Had she not agreed to go with him she would have died instantly in one of two ways, either poisoned by the demon’s air or suffering from agonizing pain, her skin breaking into sickening blisters that would have exploded, leaving her a bloodied mess writhing in his arms. Adrian walked further inside, taking his time to travel the empty passage and get lost in his thoughts for a few minutes before the demon sentinels appeared to guide him to Zendaya. The dragon inside him was roaring, bouncing against the cage in its heart. It was an unpleasant feeling, one that caused beads of sweat to roll down his temple and dampen his hair. Damn, he hadn’t felt this sick since Dragoon had died and he’d sworn vengeance over his body. He glanced at Victoria, passed out in his arms. Her face was surprisingly peaceful. Her cheeks glowed with a healthy pink, her lips parting slightly with every murmur of a whispered breath.

Adrian, you’re an ass.
