came out like a rumbling growl, and he watched her eyes widen,
flashing silver then crimson. “Are you running away from me?” he
teased, approaching her. At every one of his steps, her cheeks grew
redder and her chest rose and fell at a quicker pace. “We’re partners.
We should be sitting next to each other.” He stopped at her side, and
she glanced up at him. Beautiful brown irises glimmered red. Magnus
leaned forward. Her lips parted, and she took in a shuddering breath.

here. You still believe.” He kissed her gently. “And don’t ever stop.”

“Melody?”

He cocked his head, and at the same time, she stepped forward. Linking her arms around his neck, she brought him down and smashed her mouth to his. Magnus didn’t question it. He responded with his own hunger, grabbing her ass and bringing her against his body. Melody gasped, as if surprised.  Almost as if she had expected him to move away.

“No, but you’re so big I don’t want to be squashed.”

Placing her hands on her hips, she glared up at him, pretending to be angry when really she felt ashamed. Could her insult be any lamer? And damn it all, she liked big and tall and muscular, and Kit had it all. Unlike her ex, the eagle shifter probably wouldn’t have a hard time fucking her standing up, back to the wall and arms pinned above her head. Her breath shortened and her cheeks burned.

Kara, keep your thoughts together.

Kit laughed. “So you’re definitely scared.”
