Happy Tuesday, everyone! Welcome to the first #TNTConfidential of the month of February! Today's visiting author is Milly Taiden and she brings with her a scorching paranormal romance called Mate's Bite. Read on to find out more about both of them!

Mission: Don’t fall in love

After an explosive night of passion during a scenting ceremony, Karla Alves is sure she was just a one night stand for the man she'd been crushing on for years. She teased him and pleased him, and Nate hasn't been around since. Her fear of becoming clingy kept her from risking her heart and asking for more than a few hours of skin sin.

Mission: Crack her walls

She. Is. His. Nathan Wolfe marked Karla. His mate. Deeply involved in pack politics, Nate has had to stay away. When his sister warns that Karla needs him more than he thinks, he'll discover a bundle of secrets only his wolf can sniff out. But getting the woman he cares about to let down her guard may prove to be his undoing.

Mission: Embrace the bite

With Karla's wayward sister wreaking havoc and friends needing more of his time than ever, Nate will have to rearrange his priorities if he ever hopes to earn Karla's trust. But will time with her be enough? Only true love and a wolf's promise can hold together a relationship created with a bite, a scenting, and a hope for tomorrow.

Tell us about your latest release.
A Mate’s Bite is the second of my Sassy Mates and another fun read. This time we get Karla and Nate’s side. We see what happens after book one and we see how Karla and Nate fare.
A Mate’s Bite is part of the Sassy Mates series. How did the idea for this series come up?
Jordan just popped into my head one day. Talking about a scenting ceremony with her friends. It sounded like something I’d do so I went for it. It’s been fun.
How many more Sassy Mates tales can we expect?
Thinking around 5 but who knows. If I get new character ideas maybe others.
What’s your usual writing process like?
I steal time from something else I should be doing and write. LOL that’s pretty much it. I have a full time job, a family and too much going on so I don’t have a regular schedule.
What was your greatest challenge when it came to writing this novel?
I was going through a hard time emotionally and Karla was too. It was hard to get past some parts, but once I did I think it made it better.
In three words or one sentence, why will we fall in love with the characters of a Mate's Bite?
 Romance. Heat. Humor
That’s what I love in books.

February Love quickie questionnaire:

Valentine’s Day: Yes or no? Why? Yes. I’m a lover of all holidays
A suggestion for the single ladies and gents out there to do on Valentine’s Day: Go out with some friends. If you have kids celebrate with them. If you don’t do something for YOU. You should be your first love anyway.

A book to read this month: Rachel Firasek’s Drowning

A movie to watch: Aliens (don’t judge LOL I love horror)

Favorite candy to munch on: Peanut M&Ms

Greatest romantic gesture you’ve done and greatest romantic gesture for which you’ve been the recipient. When I proposed to my hubby (yes, I was the one who popped the question (the first time))I took a V-Day and decorated our bedroom with roses, chocolates and candles. He was touched and loved it. It was a great time. My first V-day with hubs he got me flowers and hardly knew me. It melted my icy exterior and made me like him. Even though he was sort of annoying but *sigh* they’re not ever 100% perfect LOL

When Raine Bowe volunteers for a sleep study for the extra cash, she didn't expect to wake in a lab or to be victimized by a mad scientist. She escapes with one objective--to find someone strong enough to wage war with the evil growing inside her.

Ryder Storm is a man with a reputation--the bad boy of his own universe. He doesn't take prisoners, won't give into a sweet smile, and doesn't cut his pack an inch of slack. He knows the desperate woman in his bar is his the moment he lays eyes on her. He'll give her anything she wants, except the one thing she's begging for. Death.

Raine enlists Ryder’s help to unravel the mystery surrounding the hours she lost in the lab and to help tame the beast inside her. In their search for answers, the road will lead them to a twisted experiment involving shifters, humans, and the creation of the ultimate Alpha. He's ready for the adventure and she's ready for her answers. Neither are ready for the lust that calls down from the mating moon. But a wolf knows its mate, and an alpha will not stop until he or she gets what they want.

Giveaways…and more giveaways

If you’ve gotten to know me, you know I love to give stuff away. Seriously. It’s like an addiction. The thing is, I love to show appreciation to readers for not just reading my books, but for sharing it with others so they too may try them. If it were not for readers, I wouldn’t sell a thing. So I feel giveaways are a great way to say thank you. My favorites are the parties where everyone plays games and has fun and then they can win super fun stuff like swag or other books. I also love having month long giveaways for things like sharing and have big prizes like a Kindle Paperwhite. But my favorites are the random giveaways for people who like to share my stuff. I love the giveaways and the readers participating do too. And a lot of times new people find out about my book that didn’t know me before. Giveaways are fun all around. Now if I could just keep them to one at a time vs. having multiples going on. I am addicted.

Run!

The loud hammering of Raine’s heart drowned out the single word bouncing around her mind—and the dogs barking at her back. Their angry growls faded the faster she ran. A little further. Just a little more, and she’d be home free.

Trees swooshed past her with every step she took away from the small isolated facility. She ignored the hospital gown swinging against her legs and the blood dripping down her arms from the torn IVs. Barefoot, the rocks bit into the soles of her feet. None of that mattered. She had to survive. Her life depended on getting as far away from that place as possible.

Inhaling the comforting scent of mud, trees, and the wild, she barely heard the barking over the breeze rustling through the willows with each step she put between them. At any other time, she’d have dissected her reaction to the forest. Not now. And she didn’t stop. No way was she getting captured again without a fight.

Air beat in and out of her lungs in tandem with the pounding of her feet on the rocky ground. Moonlight filtered through the branches overhead, highlighting her path. Her hair caught on the tree limbs, snatching at the loose strands. Some of the hanging vines prodded her arms and stabbed her sides. Her breath hitched, and she missed a step, lurching forward. Something inside her tightened. Her arms swayed and her core muscles flexed. Before she face planted, everything balanced out. She blinked. More scared now than she’d ever been in her life. Something controlled her body and it had reflexes far superior to a normal human.

Moisture gathered in her eyes, blurring her vision. She blinked it away. Panic would only get her caught.

Raine glanced at the moon. It had shifted twice—now in front of her, rather than behind. She stilled. The trees rustled with the wind. An owl hooted. But she still didn’t hear the annoying bay of the dogs.
Ragged breaths beat hard in her ears. A horn’s blare sounded in the distance. Fear and excitement gave her a burst of energy. Cars meant help. She urged her body faster.

Street lights peeked through the trees. Air panted out of her chest. A second car honked, speeding past another. She was almost there. So close. Thank god. She was going to make it.

Slowing down at the edge of a hill, she darted glances around the now quiet street. No people milled about or walked around. Nothing. A big store, one she recognized from the one time she’d gotten lost in the shadier side of town, sat a block to her right. The sudden quiet made sense now. Nothing good happened this far south of Tempting Eats. It was known as the dead side. The thought alone gave her chills. Women went missing…all the time. That had been enough to keep her uptown in suburbia-peace-nation.

She glanced around, searching for anyone who might be waiting for her or even any of the dangerous men her neighbors said roamed the streets, but there was nothing, not a single being. Her feet hit the pavement in a rush. Once across the street, she hid inside a dark alley. The stench of rotting food and piss coated the air with a thick blanket of disease and chaos. Her throat convulsed, and the acidic taste of bile hit the back of her tongue.
Retreating, she took several steps toward the end of the street to a small motel. Its yellow, neon Vacancy sign blinked on and off with a buzz. A man’s yell pushed her to slink into the dark. The sound came from the shadows in front of the motel.

T'n'T's Confidential: Milly Taiden/April Angel

Happy Thursday, readers! Today author Milly Taiden/April Angel is under the spotlight answering a few questions about herself and her latest release Party Crasher!

She crashed his party and became his prize…

According to one annoying DrexCallum, Chris is a “nosy reporter.” And maybe she is. She’s heard of the super secretive event known as the Seduction Party, and she won’t be content until she finds a way in. The last thing she expects to find is that Drex is the host. She’ll never get an invitation from her nemesis—unless she finds a way to get one herself. And breaking into his house is nothing if it means getting the scoop. But what she gets instead is an eye-full of the man himself, half-naked and more than she’d ever dreamed he could be in all her teenage fantasies.

Drex has been fantasizing about Chris forever, and now that she’s a grown woman, he still has a hard time treating her like one. So when she shows up at the Seduction Party—on the auction chair!—he’s got no other choice but to teach that nosey woman a lesson. He never dreamed sex could be like this, with Chris in his room, tied to a bed, asking him for stuff that blows his mind…

But when things turn ugly, it becomes clear that someone wants the nosey reporter dead. And Drex will have his hands full trying to keep his prize safe…

Welcome Milly to in A Dream Beyond!

Tell us about your latest release. Party Crasher is the story about a woman who had a crush on her older brother’s best friend only to be rebuffed, but when she grows up things take a big turn at a very sexy party.

Have you had to do any research for this novel? Tell us about it. No research, all came out of my craziness LOL

In three words or one sentence, why will we fall in love with your characters?
Because they are real. The women are flawed and the men have insecurities but it’s their inner strength that makes my stories special I think.

Hollywood is making a film based on your book: what actors would you pick to play your main characters?
For Party Crasher it would be Emma Stone and Channing Tatum. They rock!

You know how filmmakers are; they want to delete a scene from your novel. If you had to choose it’d be----why?
Probably the auction scene. It’s very…sexy.

Now, they want to add one. If you had to add something to this release what would it be and why?
Probably a scene I thought about where Cole finds out who the woman he spent the night with is.

Are you working on anything right now?  I am working on 3 different books at any one point. Wolves and contemporary.

Favorite…

Author: I have many, but Dianne Duvall is definitely one of my faves! Her books rock!

Book: Blood Mate, by Mina Carter

Animal: Wolf

Personal anecdote: Love eating breakfast for dinner :D

What’s the first thing you notice on a man? Woman? Their teeth. I don’t know why but my eyes zoom in on a person’s mouth to check out their teeth. So weird.

T n' T's Confidential: Milly Taiden

Happy Tuesday! Today I have a special visit from Etopia Press author Milly Taiden! Please give her a warm welcome! I've sat Milly down for a bit and had her answer a few questions about her writing and her recent release Fate's Wish.

The man she loves left her, but he’s the only one that can protect her.

Sharmila is a witch with a problem. Her magic is waning. And her lack of sex may have something to do with it. Her mother’s solution? Easy. Sharmila needs to get laid. Easier said than done, though, because Shar is still in love with the only man to make her melt, Zahir Darkwrath. Her missing husband. Her demon.
Zahir knows he’s a danger to Shar, so he’s done his best to stay far away. Darkness flows through his being, and when emotions run wild, destruction rages around him. And sex with Shar is definitely wild. Staying away from the woman he loves is the hardest thing he’s ever done, but hurting her would be far worse. So he’s astounded when Shar’s mother hires his company to watch over her.
Evil is heading Shar’s way, and Zahir is the only one who can stop it. To save her, Zahir will need more than control; he’ll need the power of his own darkness–which might be his undoing.

First let me say thank you Elyzabeth for having me over. I appreciate the chance to speak with you about my books.

Thank you for visiting,Milly! Why did you decide to become an author?

I didn’t decide to, not really. I have loved writing forever and when my sister and good friends told me to submit them to a publisher I finally gave in. It was excruciating since I had not let anyone read my stuff until then. But it paid off.

When you started writing, why did you tend toward paranormal erotic romance?

The truth is I write all kinds of stuff. I have two YAs in my files,
a couple of regular romances, a thriller, fantasy. But most of
what I write is erotic romance. I write paranormal as
Milly Taiden and contemporary as April Angel. I love romance
and writing happy endings. And I do love a good dose of heat
with those romances, so it was easy to put the two together. I
also have an obsession with wolves and other paranormal
creatures. They are very fun to write.

Pick three songs that would be part of the soundtrack for your recent release. Why?

Well…this is a tough one. I think for Fate’s Wish I would use
Titanium by David Ghetta. Love that song. And I think it reminds me of Zahir in a way. All that power and nothing can bring him down,
but he can destroy the world with it. Another song I would use would be Wide Awake by Katy Perry. I think that’s how Shar feels when the story begins. And finally Dark Side by Kelly Clarkson. That one truly depicts Zahir for me.

Where does your inspiration come from?
Everywhere. Seriously. I could be doing anything and some strange plot will pop in my head. I can watch my son playing with his toys and think up a story with whatever he’s doing. So inspiration follows me around. It’s deciphering it and turning it into a good story that’s the hard part LOL.

What are you working on now?

Believe it or not, I just finished writing Deadly Desire. It’s an Erotic Romantic Suspense novel. Can’t wait to see what everyone thinks of that one. I have written others like it, but this is my first that may get published. Next I’m working my Wicked Valentine’s story.

When do you find the time to write?

Who has time? LOL. You must make time to write. Late at night and weekends. But I constantly take down notes on the train, at lunch time and just keep things going.

A little more about the woman behind the writer…

Favorite food – Spanish food. I am Latina so I love love some Pernil, Rice and Beans, Tostones, Paella, Seafood, Pasteles…in short ALL FOOD. Lol

      Favorite color – BLUE!!!!
Favorite time of day – I love the evening. It’s the time I get my most inspiration.
Favorite film – Aliens. It just rocks.
If you were a fruit you’d be… A mango or a guava. Yum.
