Eva— #midweektease from Alpha Protectors 3 #paranormal #romance

Happy Hump day, everyone!

Today I'm sharing another tease form my current WIP, book 3 in the Alpha Protectors series.

If you remember, Max and his colleagues are at Lust's horrible realm. I've skipped ahead to offer you today's snippet. Max has been separated from the other's and is drawn into another room....

 Enjoy!

Stunned, Max stared after his colleagues, until another push from Killian set him in motion.
Turning his back on the commotion, he walked a few feet down the hall and leaned against the wall. Thankful for the cool stone against his blazing flesh, he shut his eyes and focused on his breathing. Little by little, the sounds around him evaporated. The warrior cries of his brothers in arms dimmed. The screeches of the Inferum and the human’s whose dreams had become nightmares, quieted. All of it became replaced by the soothing swoosh of his lungs filling with oxygen, the steady rhythm of his pulse and the pleasant chime of female laughter.
Max’s eyes snapped open and he immediately moved into a fighter’s stance. Glancing left and right he searched for the source of the sound. The flames on the brackets flickered and danced with the shadows but not a soul was in sight. Goosebumps rose on his flesh.
“No, please.”
A ball of ice hit him in the gut, spreading throughout his limbs. He had to have heard wrong. No one spoke in Lust’s realm, but if they did, it was dirty talk and encouraging words, not a hoarse cry for mercy.
“No, please, stop.”
Max veered around. The spot he’d been leaning on was gone, replaced by a door. He held his breath.
“No, don’t make me. I’m begging you.”
The woman’s voice cracked. The miserable sob which came from within the room tore at him, breaking his soul into a million fragments. Whoever was in there couldn’t be dreaming. They had to be conscious and clearly in distress.
“No.”
He couldn’t stand out here waiting any longer while an innocent suffered needlessly. Aiming a steady kick at the door, he threw it open and barged inside, sword at the ready.
His stomach revolted. He swallowed hard, in an attempt to keep the contents of his stomach. Taking position in the corner of the room where he could control everything, Max took stock.
Bright blood painted white washed walls. The victim appeared to be a slightly overweight man in his fifties. He lay naked on a king sized mattress in the center of the room and his chest rose and fell rhythmically as if asleep. However, the sheets were stained red and more blood seeped from an open wound in his thorax. His erection rested against his stomach, glistening with juices.
Max swept his gaze around the room, searching for the source of the pleading voice.
A woman emerged from the darkness on the other side of the bed. Max stared. Her pale flesh was flawless. Full, round breasts with dusky nipples made his mouth water. He dipped his gaze, following the trim line of her waist, to her wide hips and firm legs. Her pubis shimmered with sexual dew. Max’s cock twitched. He breathed hard through his nose and forced himself to look at her face. Her full lips quirked into a smile, beckoning him to kiss her and her eyes, a hypnotic blue, invited him to come closer.
“Were you,” he started. He cleared his throat. “Were you crying for help?”
The man on the bed groaned and Max turned to him. He blinked, refocusing his gaze. Heat swept through him, lashing him awake.
“Succubus,” he roared. “What have you done?”
The demon laughed and he recognized the sound from earlier.
“Me?” She flashed him a smile. “That wasn’t me, it was her,” she said pointing to the darkest corner of the room. Max squinted. His jaw dropped. Crouched on the floor, a woman wept. Her dark hair hung around her face, hiding her features from him, but not the drops of blood which clung to her like raindrops to leaves.
“Eva,” the succubus said. “Don’t be rude and greet our guest.”
“No, please.”
Recognizing the voice from earlier, Max’s heart tripled its beat. She needed him.
“Eva,” he said softly.

No one deserved to suffer forever.— #midweektease from Alpha Protectors 3 #paranormal #romance

Happy Hump day, everyone!

I hope your week is going well! Today I'm sharing another snippet from my current WIP, book 3 in the Alpha Protectors series.

Last week, I shared the beginning of the story, right before our hero and his brothers in arms entered Lust's realm. I've skipped a few paragraphs and now they're all within that terrible place...

 Enjoy!

“Hey,” Ethan greeted them.
‘What took you so long?” Killian asked.
“Some newbie didn’t move out of the way fast enough.” Noah chuckled. “Ethan practically ran him over. You know how much he likes travelling through dimensions.”
“He should have known better,” Ethan grumbled. “So what are we waiting for?” he asked, thumbing the ax hanging from his girdle. “I’m ready to cut some limbs.”
Killian grinned. With a quick flick of his wrist, he motioned for them to gather round.
“You know the mission. West tower number one. We have two and a half hours before the horn blasts. We don’t separate and we move as one. Time to do our job and kill some Inferum.”
‘Aye,” they all chorused, slapping themselves on the back.
They set off at a run, their boots crunching against the dirt and their weapons clanging at their side. Branches seemed to claw out at them in a futile attempt to stop them. After a few minutes, the landscape transformed, the trees thinning out into another clearing.
“Up in two,” Killian’s voice commanded.
They picked up speed and unfolded their wings. The movement sent a shot of energy pumping through him, viciously clamoring for more.
“Now,” Killian ordered.
Max leaped, propelling himself skywards with a strong down-stroke of his wings. Aided by air pressure he quickly went forward and upward. Flapping, he gained lift and positioned himself into flight formation, which consisted of an inverted V.
He glanced below. The terrain had transformed again, becoming a lush forest of blazing, red trees. Among the copses, he caught glimpses of the River of Endless Pain, roaring with strength. He frowned. Legend said the water came from the tears of Lust’s victim. If that were the case, it was truly a bountiful season for the Sin.
“GH in 5,” Killian called.
Max’s heart pounded. In a few minutes, he’d see what was commonly known as the Garden of Hellish Delights. A sight which always made him slightly nauseous and sent anger careening into his veins. At the dawn of battle, he’d learned to welcome the latter.
 “Minus 1.”
Max held his breath. The trees had scattered, giving way to jagged rocks.
“3,2,1.”
His stomach churned. The land dropped hundreds of feet into a valley of endless despair. Men and women alike, the souls of those who had permanently succumbed to Lust, were forced to indulge in activities which were far from pleasurable. Torture implements, giants, inexplicable monsters, beasts, and humans pushed and shoved. Max averted his gaze and sped up, hoping to diffuse the sound which would eventually catch up with him. During his first mission, he mistook it for the whistling wind, but the impression lasted mere seconds.
He braced himself. The wail of thousands of souls begging for mercy surrounded him. Bile rose to the back of his throat. Anger clawed at him from within. His fingertips tingled and he recognized the oncoming surge of adrenaline which would drive him into combat. No one deserved to suffer forever. All those bellow had once loved, honored, been generous or kind. He couldn’t help them anymore, but he’d ensure the ones within the castle got a second chance.

I can almost taste your blood-- #MidWeekTease from The Beauty of Forever #vampire #paranormal #fantasy @evernightpub

Happy Hump day, lovelies and happy first Mid-week tease of 2018!

I'm really cold today, so I decided to choose another snippet from The Beauty of Forever, which might warm us all up.

 Enjoy!

Samantha’s heart pounded. Christopher’s lips trailed a path down her neck, alternating between kissing, nipping, and sucking. Her sex clenched with desperate need.

In quick strides, he moved them to the couch. He settled her over his lap, so she straddled him. Cupping her face, he kissed her again, while shoving a hand up her shirt and palming her breast. She
bucked against Christopher, searching for the friction which would
take her over the edge.

“More,” she demanded, tugging at his bottom lip.

The pearl-like buttons of her blouse ricocheted against the floor. Her hard nipples puckered further. Christopher tugged down her bra cup, exposing it to his sight. Lowering his mouth, he sucked in the
turgid nub. Her fingers tangled in his hair, holding him there. Christopher plucked her other nipple. Samantha jerked. Pleasure sizzled through her veins, centering on her swollen clit.

“More.”

She tore at Christopher’s shirt, desperate for the feel of his skin against hers. He shrugged out of it. Her breath caught. His upper body glistened with sinewy muscles.

“God, you’re built.”

His low chuckle startled her. “You’ve seen nothing yet, doll.”

Undoing her bra, he discarded the garment to one side and nuzzled her breasts. Holding them, he kneaded the flesh, heightening her arousal.

“I can feel your heartbeat,” he rumbled. “And I can almost taste your blood. It’s racing through you. Here.”

He grazed one of her nipples with his teeth. Samantha cried out.

“Coursing in your veins.” Christopher skimmed her stomach. “To your cunt.”

He snuck his hand beneath her skirt, cupping her drenched pussy.

“Can you imagine if I bit you here, doll?” He painted lazy circles across her labia.

Samantha moaned.

“It’d be a feast.” His lips twisted into a devious grin. “Maybe we should try," he said.

Once dead, always dead.
Christopher Beaufort works in what could easily be the most cheerful place on earth, Santa’s Christmas Realm, but as a vampire, he is nothing more than a shadow among the living.
Worn out by the demands of his job as Chief Toy Officer, Santa assigns a human woman to help him, Samantha Kraus. Tantalized by the fiery red-head, Christopher makes it his business to seduce her, but as he does, something within him begins to stir.
Life is a gift in which every moment counts.
When Samantha Kraus accepted the job of assistant manager at Santa’s, she expected elves, fairies and maybe some shifters, but definitely not vampires, and least of all did she imagine her boss would be one of them or that she’d be attracted to him.

Though she tries to remain professional, Samantha finds herself falling for Christopher. But, can a vampire’s heart ever beat again?
