I'm back! Well, more or less. I'm still not 100% percent but little by little I'm getting used to my new job and I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. (At least this weekend I actually feel a little more rested and I remembered to sign up for Weekend Writing Warriors and Sexy Snippets!)
As for today's snippet, I'm following from my last one. You can read it HERE if you don't remember, but basically Emily was reading a book when her made knocked on the door looking like a blushing bride.
Enjoy and thanks for reading!
XOXO,
Elyzabeth

“Gertrude, what—“
Emily’s eyes widened
as a man several feet taller than the small, nervous woman, stepped up behind
her.
“Ms. Bunsbury. This is
Mr. Dalton,” Gertrude said.
All pretense of
illness forgotten, Emily scrambled to her feet as the man walked into the room
as if he’d walked through her house countless times. His hair slid over his
eyes as he bowed low to her.
“Ms. Bunsbury,” he
rumbled.
A man so gorgeous he makes her ill.

Love the confidence!
ReplyDeleteOh you tease, who is he??? Great snippet :-)
ReplyDeleteOoh, she jumps to her feet, then collapses in a heap...this man has it in spades!
ReplyDeleteIt's obvious why she feels under the weather. Great how you convey his effect on her. Congrats on the new job, though I didn't know you had started a new one.
ReplyDeleteThe sight of this man sends her into a faint. My gosh. What's his phone number?
ReplyDeleteHahahaha. I wonder who he is. Great snippet.
ReplyDeleteI'm intrigued! He seems somewhat ominous, given her reaction...excellent excerpt, makes me want to keep reading right now.
ReplyDeleteGreat snipper....I think I already like Mr. Dalton
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone! You'll have to wait a little until I reveal why he causes such an effect on her ;-)
