Welcome readers to this week-long awesome celebration!

 Evernight turns 2 years old and I'm fortunate to say that I've been part of the family for the better part of those 2 years. It all started with my novel A Decade of Longing, published in 2011.

Then, The Mercenary Tales were born and I hoped they could find a home with Evernight: they did. Book 3 of the Mercenary Tales is set for release in November, and I hope to release more titles with this awesome publisher. Evernight not only treats their authors like queens and kings, but gives readers an experience they'll never forget.

But enough emotional talk, *wink*, allow me to get to the even more interesting tidbit! As mentioned above, Evernight authors will be giving away their own prizes. I'm giving away one book from my Evernight backlist, your choice.

It was time. He stepped away from the column and made his way towards her. As if sensing his presence, she turned around, her eyes locking with his, her acquaintance forgotten.
Neither of them moved. He noticed as her smile faded, her lips parted slightly, and her chest rose as she drew a deep breath. He moved towards her purposely.
