#TNTConfidential 12 Days of Christmas- GIVEAWAY- Day 10: Melissa Hosack & Saving Santa

Day 10 is here! Let's Give Melissa Hosack a warm welcome in today's #TNTConfidential 12 Days of Christmas!

What is your favorite thing about the Holidays? –

My favorite thing about the holidays right now, hands down, is my son. He just turned four in November, and everything about the holiday is exciting for him. He’s made me feel like a kid again myself! Every Christmas carol is fun for him. Every holiday special is new and thrilling. Wrapping gifts is an exhilarating secret. Every little aspect of the holiday is magical for him. This has been an amazing Christmas season for my family. One I won’t forget any time soon.

What inspired you to write your book? –

I had the idea and wanted to go for something very unique. I wanted more than the girl meets boy and falls in love around Christmas time. In my story, Santa is real. He’s smoking hot and a bit domineering. It was fun to take the classic holiday figure and spin him into a sexy stud. I felt it was a nice holiday story for those of us adults that still love everything about the holidays and would enjoy a very magical, yet sexy story. I was inspired by the challenge to write such a thing.

Share a Holiday anecdote with the readers –

The Christmas story I would like to share with my readers is from my childhood. It isn’t one specific date but a tradition. When I was young, I remember spending part of every Christmas Eve at my grandparent’s house. When it got dark, my grandmother would tell us that Santa was on his way, but we couldn’t be at the house when he stopped by, or he wouldn’t be able to leave the presents. So every year, me, my siblings, and my two cousins would get all of our winter apparel on and take a car ride with my parents. We’d drive around and look at all the Christmas lights. We’d ‘ooh’ and ‘ahh’ for a while, all of us secretly amping up over the possibility of gifts upon our return. After about fifteen minutes, we’d head back to my grandparent’s house. Wouldn’t you know it, every year when we got back, Santa had arrived and the presents we received at grandma’s were under the tree waiting for us! Somehow, every year, we were all completely fooled by this ruse. We thought it was so magical and exciting that we’d missed Santa by only minutes! Yet we’d also feel so terribly relieved that we’d left the house just in time. It was a fun, silly tradition that has stuck with me through the years. I look forward to creating my own silly traditions with my son.

Saving Santa

Cara Faulk has always loved Christmas and delights in anything related to the holiday season, but even she finds it odd when two elves show up at her door offering her a paid vacation. As they approach their destination—the North Pole—things get even stranger. Cara is informed that the elves would like her to seduce Santa, because Christmas is in need of a Mrs. Clause.

Extremely reluctant about this new adventure, Cara is thrown once again when she is berated and hollered at in the elf workshop by none other than Chris Kringle himself. She doesn’t know what is more shocking, the fact that Santa is drop dead gorgeous or that he’s arrogant, self-centered, and anti-social.

Despite their less than stellar introduction, Cara finds she can’t resist Chris.  His life is enchanting, and his dedication to his work humbling. She finds herself drawn to him despite his egotism and their frequent shouting matches. The two dance back and forth between a love/hate relationship. Neither wishes to marry or be a part of the elves’ plot, but they can’t seem to keep their hands off of one another. As the holiday’s end draws near, Cara is torn with giving up Chris and the magical life she’s been introduced to and admitting that she might just be falling in love with Santa.

#TNTConfidential 12 Days of Christmas - GIVEAWAY- Day 9- Freddy Mackay & Finding Home 1 and 2

Day 9! Already?! Santa will soon be here, but meanwhile the lovely Freddy MacKay is substituing him in today's  #TNTConfidential 12 Days of Christmas!

What is your favorite thing about the Holidays?

My favorite thing about the holidays is the time people make for others. Family and friends remember how important we are to each other and make that extra effort to show their love and appreciation for one another.

What inspired you to write your book?

Snowed In: Finding Home 2 was inspired by a message from a friend. I don't honestly remember the message but it made me think of what would Geeves do if he had o go Christmas shopping by himself. ;)

Share a Holiday anecdote with the readers

Elyzabeth asked us to share a holiday story with all of you. I wish I could share pictures of my Christmas story, but sadly, I cannot. Not due to the lack of pictures, however. The problem was, I had nothing to take pictures of. What pictures you ask? You know how when the family gathers around the Christmas trees and gives each others gifts and someone is there snapping pictures of half asleep adults desperately trying to stay awake long enough to experience the children's enthusiastic responses to the new toys they got? Yeah. Those. Well, if you don't happen to get any presents from your family or Santa that year, then you don't get your picture taken. That's right. My family forgot to get me any presents. They all thought someone else had gone and gotten something for me. And Santa forgot too. Now don't get to upset. Once my family realized what happened, they did feel awful, and I made out like a bandit the next Christmas. ;)

Snowed In: Finding Home 2

Home for the Holidays. Always good times, no?

A short Christmas trip home should be more relaxing for Geeves and Max than their normal graduate school studies. At least, it was supposed to be. Unfortunately, Max's sister, Courtney, has had an abrupt change in attitude and behavior, making the once amenable teenager a nightmare to deal with. Geeves's ex-boyfriend popping up at an inopportune time doesn't help matters.

A shopping trip to the mall proves to be Geeves's downfall, though, when his heart makes a purchase that will change all of their lives. A purchase that sends Courtney running smack dab into a snowstorm and Geeves chasing after the confused girl.

Snowed In: Finding Home 2 is the sequel to the story Moving Mountains: Finding Home 1.

Nerd. Geek. Dense. Stupid. Social reject. George had heard it all growing up. Being an Aspy, a person with Aspergers, he had gotten used to never fitting in and not understanding people. His doctorate became his life, and unexpectedly, so did a fellow grad student in his lab. But when the relationship ended with George getting dumped unceremoniously by email and left to handle the gossip alone, George wasn't sure his heart could handle being in a relationship again and decided it was best to focus on his thesis.

A year later things hadn't changed. Well, except a restlessness eating away at George that had started six months earlier. A field research trip to gather more data might just be the thing he needs. Luckily his friend and lab assistant, Max, is out in the field with him. Little did he know this trip would change their relationship permanently, something his heart might not be ready for.

#TNTConfidential 12 Days of Christmas- GIVEAWAY- Day 6: Doris O' Connor & For the Love of Mutt

Welcome to #TNTConfidential 12 Days of Christmas Day 6! Today's visiting author is Doris O'Connor.

What is your favorite thing about the Holidays?
Spending time with the family. Our eldest has flown the nest, and she's coming home for ten days over Christmas, so that will be awesome. I'll have all my brood under one roof again—bliss. J

What inspired you to write your book?
A submission call sparked my muse, and then I had the heroine in my head getting annoyed with folks calling Christmas the holidays. It kinda went from there, and took on a life of its own, as my stories always do.

Share a Holiday anecdote with the readers
My story is set around a homeless shelter, and that's largely due to my gran. Every Christmas she prepared several food and clothing parcels, and we used to take them down to the local homeless shelter. My gran was a great believer in the fact that there is always someone less fortunate than you out there, and it's your duty to look after those people. There for the grace of god go I and all that.
We can all fall on hard times, and Christmas can be an extremely hard time for lots of people. I know it was for my gran. She lost her husband on Christmas Eve, just after the war, when my dad was still quite small. My grandfather was driving home for Christmas and was run off the road by a drunk driver.
My gran soldiered on, like she always did, but I always thought how unfair that had been. He survived Nazi Germany and being incarcerated in a concentration camp, only to be run off the road like that.
Life is cruel and unpredictable at times, and we got to live in the moment. That's one of life's lessons I learnt from knee high, and every Christmas I raise a glass to my amazing gran.

****
For the love of Mutt

A homeless shelter at Christmas may seem an odd place to find one's soul mate, but love knows no boundaries—or does it?

Anja has grown fond of the wolf-like dog hanging around the shelter. With her soon to be ex -boyfriend putting pressure on her, her canine friend proves to be more reliable than any human could ever be. If only he were more than just a dog.

Helping others is not always easy to do, unless Ethan can do so undercover. However, hiding your true self brings problems of its own. Finding a mate had not been in Ethan's plan of action, but Anja's easy acceptance of Mutt breaks through all of his defenses.

The problem is he is not what he seems, and will his deception by proxy prove the end of them before they even have a chance at love?

About Doris:

Glutton for punishment would be a good description for Doris... at least that's what she hears on an almost daily basis when people find out that she has a brood of nine children, ranging from adult to toddler and lives happily in a far too small house, cluttered with children, pets, dust bunnies, and one very understanding and supportive husband. Domestic goddess she is not.
There is always something better to do after all, like working on the latest manuscript and trying not to scare the locals even more than usual by talking out loud to the voices in her head. Her characters tend to be pretty insistent to get their stories told, and you will find Doris burning the midnight oil on a regular basis. Only time to get any peace and quiet and besides, sleep is for wimps.
She likes to spin sensual, sassy, and sexy tales involving alpha heroes to die for, and heroines who give as good as they get. From contemporary to paranormal, BDSM to F/F, and Ménage, haunting love stories are guaranteed.

#TNTConfidential 12 Days of Christmas - GIVEAWAY- Day 5- JC Wallace & Christmas Delights

Time is flying and it's already Day 5 of #TNTConfidential 12 Days of Christmas! Thank you everyone who's coming by, commenting and joining the fun! There's still more to come, like today's "Santa", author JC Wallace who's dropping in with some merry Christmas Delights!

What is your favorite thing about the Holidays?

I love spending time with my family. I also love the activities of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. On Christmas Eve, my daughter and I bake cookies and make candy to give to our neighbors. Then my daughter sings in the children's choir at church. Christmas day is spent with my children, my grandchild, and other family, eating and just enjoying being together.

What inspired you to write your book?

Waiting for Snow is a short story in Christmas Delights—a Christmas anthology. I wrote this story after seeing a request from RJ Scott for submissions for a free anthology, which would include new and established authors. I had an idea for a Christmas story that I’d tucked away. The word limit was 10,000 though I could have written 60,000!I made the limit and was accepted into the anthology and, ta-da this is my first published story!

Share a Holiday anecdote with the readers

As kids, my sister and brother and I were sneaky. We were always looking for our hidden gifts. As we outgrew Santa, our mom would wrap our gifts and place them under the tree early. Of course, once there, we were all over them. So, one year, I really wanted a tape player. Now this was around 1980 so this (see pic) is what was all the rage. I mean you could record your voice!!!

Of course, I pawed through the gifts and figured out which one was my tape recorder. Now every Christmas Eve we were allowed to open one gift. Me, being the smart ass that I was, picked the tape recorder and opened itall cool and thinking my mom didn’t know I’d peeked. Well she knew because when I asked her where the tapes and the batteries were, she grinned (quite maliciously I might add) and told me that she’d wrapped them separately. So, yes, I had to wait until Christmas morning to play with my tape player. By the way, I used to tape record my brother snoring and my sister talking to her dolls. Yeah, I could be quite malicious too.

Waiting for Snow

Dain is at the end of his proverbial rope. He lost his job, his boyfriend, and his church after one horrifying accident. On Christmas Eve, he is reminded of those loses in a heart breaking confrontation with his father. As Dain is driving, unsure where to go, he meets Jake, the local sheriff.  Jake is very interested in Dain but can Dain learn to believe in love again?

Christmas Delights is a FREE Anthology from Love Lane Books with uplifting and romantic stories set in the Christmas season.

#TNTConfidential 12 Days of Christmas - GIVEAWAY- Day 4- Julie Lynn Hayes & A Special Christmas

Welcome to Day 4 of #TNTConfidential 12 Days of Christmas! Santa's helper for today is Julie Lynn Hayes!

What is your favorite thing about the Holidays?
I think my favorite thing about the holidays is making dreams come true, whether through gifts or food or simply time spent together. I have the best kids in the world, and I love to buy for them, although the last few years have been lean ones and I haven’t been able to do as much as I wanted to. But they all understand, and they support and love me. What more can you ask for? I only have one left at home, and the other three are scattered to the winds – Hawaii, Seattle, and Indiana. Gathering isn’t an option, but they’re always in my thoughts. I love to cook, and hope to someday be able to cook for them all, under one roof. But regardless of geographical locale, they’re all in my hearts, and having them is the best part of the Holidays for me.

What inspired you to write your book?

I love history, and Prohibition is a fascinating time period, especially the gangsters that saw a niche and filled it—with illegal hooch! Capone has been a longtime favorite of mine. He liked to wear expensive suits. At the time, I was doing some bookkeeping for a drycleaner, and the story just started to come together, along with two young immigrants celebrating their first Christmas together, in a speakeasy in Romeoville, Illinois. Florian’s love of opera comes from me, I admit. I wanted to write something that was holiday-oriented, but also sweet and romantic as well. Nothing overly dramatic, just love and sweetness.

Share a Holiday anecdote with the readers

I remember one Christmas when the children were much younger, not sure exactly how long ago. But I thought I’d be smart and start shopping for Christmas early, like in June, in order to spread out the spending. How clever I thought I was! Unfortunately, what I didn’t calculate on was not keeping track of what I actually bought until Christmas morning when the children found themselves standing in a virtual toy store. I had simply gotten carried away and each one had a stack of presents as tall as him/her! I learned after that to watch what I did more closely. Although, I am still prone to spoiling them lol

I love to cook over the holidays, because it’s the perfect excuse to make a huge meal. At one time, I used to bake all kinds of cookies, but time constraints have limited that in recent years. However, I’m all for making a turkey dinner with all the trimmings at any time of the year, not just Christmas and Thanksgiving. Food is comfort and love and that’s all a part of the holiday package. Taking time to make things special, like making buckeyes (chocolate peanut butter balls) because my kids love them. Or an extra special baked macaroni & cheese (the ultimate comfort food). I make really good turkeys because I make my own rub, plus I make an injector solution, which leads to moister meat. My daughter Katie gave me a suggestion at Thanksgiving that I utilized. Put water around your turkey, and put the neck and giblets into the water. They impart flavor to the broth that goes to the turkey, and only adds to the overall taste. Don’t be afraid to try something new—nothing ventured, nothing gained! And nothing says love quite like a home-cooked meal!

***
A Special Christmas

Florian Donati has an almost childlike innocence in the body of a god. Unaware of his charms, he enjoys his life, working in his family’s drycleaning business in Prohibition-era Chicago. He loves his job, loves singing Italian opera, and loves the people in his life, including his friend Loria and the notorious gangster Alphonse Capone. Still, he dreams of having adventures and finding love.

Nick Giannakopoulos is a young Greek immigrant who’s come to America to live with his uncle’s family, working with his cousin in the family pharmacy. There are many things he’d love to do, including going to a party in a speakeasy that he and his cousin Milo have been invited to. But it’s on Christmas Eve, so family obligations preclude their going. Until Fate intervenes and Nick and Florian end up at the same speakeasy in Romeoville and find themselves sitting at the same table.

Is instant attraction a basis for a long term relationship? Or is this just a passing Christmas fancy?

About Julie

Julie Lynn Hayes was reading at the age of two and writing by the age of nine and always wanted to be a writer when she grew up. Two marriages, five children, and more than forty years later, that is still her dream. She blames her younger daughters for introducing her to yaoi and the world of M/M love, a world which has captured her imagination and her heart and fueled her writing in ways she'd never dreamed of before. She especially loves stories of two men finding true love and happiness in one another's arms and is a great believer in the happily ever after.

She lives in St. Louis with her daughter Sarah and two cats, loves books and movies, and hopes to be a world traveler some day. She enjoys crafts, such as crocheting and cross stitch, knitting and needlepoint and loves to cook. While working a temporary day job, she continues to write her books and stories and reviews, which she posts in various places on the internet. Her family thinks she is a bit off, but she doesn't mind. Marching to the beat of one's own drummer is a good thing, after all.  Her published works can be found at Dreamspinner Press, MuseitUp Publishing, Torquere Press, and eXtasy Books. She has also begun to self-publish and is an editor at MuseitUp.

#TNTConfidential #12DaysofChristmas- GIVEAWAY-Day 3- Nicola Cameron & Vanilla-Free Christmas - ManLove Edition

Welcome to Day 3 of #TNTConfidential 12 Days of Christmas! Welcome Nicola Cameron!

What is your favorite thing about the Holidays?

Holiday decorations — I love putting up the Christmas tree and all the lights. Putting the tree back up after the cats decide to climb in it, however...

What inspired you to write your book?

I’d seen the antho call from Evernight for A Vanilla-Free Christmas: Manlove Edition, and decided to try my hand at writing a sweetly kinky ménage story. Since I used to work at the University of Chicago, I set it at a fictional bookstore near campus, and the rest of the story pretty much wrote itself.

Share a Holiday anecdote with the readers

-- My very first Christmas with the husband was supposed to be spent at my in-laws’ home, celebrating the holiday. Instead, it was spent on the side of the M1 in England, where we were stranded in freezing temps after our car blew a head gasket. As we huddled together waiting for an RAC tow truck to come rescue us, we figured that if we could handle this on our first major holiday together, we could probably handle anything. Twenty years later, we’re still going strong.

Vanilla-Free Christmas - ManLove Edition

This Christmas, good will isn’t all these sexy men are going to get. Ménage loving and chance encounters will make the holidays merry and bright and hot enough to keep out the cold. From a romp in Santa’s candy house to a dinner party where chains and collars are required attire, Christmas for these naughty men is going to be anything but vanilla.

“Tied With a Bow” -- When he loses his latest manuscript on December 23, erotic romance writer Paul Hartnell needs a Christmas miracle in the worst way. It comes in the form of his sexy upstairs neighbors Rory and Tim, and Paul learns to his delight that sometimes kinky holiday wishes do come true.

About Nicola

Nicola Cameron is an expatriate Chicagoan who has lived in England, Canada, Holland, and Sweden, and keeps a confusing amalgamation of languages in her head as a result. Currently located in the clavicle of Texas, she has finally mastered the proper use of "y'all," much to her Chicago family's dismay.

Despite a healthy interest in sex since puberty, it wasn't until 2012 that Nicola decided to try writing about it. As it turned out, the skills she picked up during her SF writing career transferred rather nicely to erotic romance. When not writing, she wrangles cats, smooches her husband, makes dolls of dubious and questionable identity, and thanks almighty Cthulhu that she doesn’t have to work for a major telecommunications company any more (because there’s BDSM, and then there’s just plain torture...).

#TNTConfidential #12DaysofChristmas-GIVEAWAY-Day 2- Shehanne Moore & Lady Lazuli

Welcome to day 2 of #TNTConfidential 12 Days of Christmas! Please welcome, Shehanne Moore!

What is your favorite thing about the Holidays?

How awful is this? Sprawling in front of a film and a blazing fire, vino in one had, choccies in the other , festives nibbles on the side? Look, I know should say Christmas Day, or socialising with friends and rellies, but that door stays shut.

What inspired you to write your book?

Ideas pop in and out my head like yo-yos. Believe me you would not want to live there. With this one I saw a Christmas Eve, a young man, the son of a duke and the worse for wear offers a lovely young woman a lift in his coach. She is a jewel thief with a valuable necklace burning a hole in her pocket.

I guess I just liked the notion of actions having consequences we cannot imagine. Then let’s scroll forward....

Share a Holiday anecdote with the readers:

What one would you like? The Christmas day I nearly set the house up in flames after a poinsettia ring went on fire on the specially themed Victorian mantelpiece  and Mr Shey ran about with buckets of water during the charades? Or the time I tried explaining the concept of a chocolate advent calendar to my younger girl? How Santa came when the chocolates were all eaten, so she stuffed 34 down her throat there and then?

But not only does her new neighbor believe he knows that exactly, he’s hell-bent on revenge.  All he needs is the actual proof.  So when he asks her to choose between being his mistress, or dangling on the end of a rope, only Sapphire can decide…

What’s left for a woman with nowhere left to go, but to stay exactly where she is?

And hope, that when it comes to neighbors, Devorlane Hawley won’t prove to be the one from hell.
