The intense look in his eyes made her knees weak. - Break Me #WIP #8Sunday #SexySnippets #WeekendWritingWarriors

Happy Sunday, lovelies!

You're going to have to excuse my snippet today, but I've done some major (crazy) editing to stick to the guidelines. In last week's snippet, Ayla was celebrating the end of the ballet season with her colleague, Kate, when they saw Grisha in the same disco. He's now approached them.

It's probable that this will be the last snippet I'll share from this story for some time. I want to finish editing this baby and I've got an upcoming release real soon which I want to show you guys. :)

Enjoy and have a lovely day!

Grisha appeared at their side, the intense look in his eyes making her knees weak.
“Good night, ladies, you must forgive me for intruding, but I recognized you from tonight’s performance and wanted to congratulate you on a splendid show.”
 “Thank you,” Katie said.
“I was brought to tears by your performance as Giselle,” Grisha continued.
Ayla stared at him, blankly and Katie pinched her arm making her jump and spill half her drink over her hand.
“Excuse me, I think I see Monica calling me, so I'll talk to you later, Ayla.”
“Katie—“
But Katie ignored her, disappearing into the crowd. Ayla dragged her gaze to the left and upward. Grisha stood like an unmovable wall in front of her, his blue eyes twinkling in the dim light.

What is he doing here? - Break Me #WIP #8Sunday #SexySnippets #WeekendWritingWarriors

Happy Sunday, lovelies!

Still writing like a maniac and had to work some extra hours this week at the day job, but all is good. *smile* I'm back today still sharing a snippet from my dark romance, momentarily titled 'Break Me.'

Last week we got to meet Ayla when she was celebrating the end of the ballet season with her colleagues in a disco. In today's snippet she's been chatting with a colleague about the handsome and well known ballet company owner, Grisha Vasiliev (our hero).

Enjoy and have a lovely day!

Ayla looked in the direction Katie indicated. Her mouth dropped open. Grisha Vasiliev casually leaned against the wall. He was unmistakable. He had to be a good six foot three and was dressed in a suit that fit him like a glove. Her body tingled with awareness.
“He’s here,” Katie squealed. “It’s destiny. You must speak to him.”
“What is he doing here?”

This didn't mean sucess - Break Me #WIP #8Sunday #SexySnippets #WeekendWritingWarriors

Happy Sunday, lovelies!

Thank you for all your lovely birthday wishes from last week. It made my day! <3

As for today, I'm running a little bit late with everything, as I've been writing nonstop trying to complete two upcoming deadlines. Today, I'm going to continue to share a snippet from my dark romance, momentarily titled 'Break Me.'

I've skipped down to where we first get to see Ayla's, our heroine's point of view. She is celebrating the end of the ballet season with her colleagues in a disco.

Enjoy and have a lovely day!

Ayla sipped at her glass of sparkled water and glanced at the bouquet of red roses she’d tossed on the seat next to her. She still couldn’t believe Meghan had fallen ill and she’d performed Giselle. She smiled. Heat radiated through her. Butterflies tingled in her stomach. She clenched her hands and pursed her lips.
 No.
None of this meant that she would have success from here on forward. The world of ballet was fickle. One moment you were at the top and the next, you could be free-falling without a parachute.

Castles built on clouds - Break Me #WIP #8Sunday #SexySnippets #WeekendWritingWarriors

Happy Sunday, lovelies!

In today's snippet, I'm continuing to takes pieces from my dark romance, momentarily titled 'Break Me.' I've skipped several lines to reach today's excerpt and a lot of creative editing has happened to keep to the WeWriWa and SexySnippets guidelines. Nonetheless, I hope you guys enjoy it!

Have a lovely day!

Happiness. The word clanged in his head like loud church bells. There was no such thing. Women like his mother, or Marie and now Ayla, equated the world of dance with bliss. There was no such thing. Happiness was an illusion, just like ballet. They were one and the same. Castles built on clouds which were beautiful on the outside but so sensitive that a mere breeze would blow them into nothingness.  The world was bleak, dark, lonely, painful.

Grisha ran his fingers through his hair in a futile attempt to alleviate the growing headache in his temples while the words hammered in his skull harder and harder as they had done for the past year.
