Greetings lovelies, and happy Tuesday! Today I have the lovely Raven McAllan answering questions and sharing her latest release, a BDSM erotic read with a promising title: Master.

When Diana left him fifteen years prior, she lost a part of herself. Seeing Cade again throws her into a tail spin.
She cannot be the sub he needs, but she can't walk away either. When she's challenged by Cade to face her demons, her old nightmares resurface. Can they overcome the chasm between them, or are the nightmares simply too strong?

Welcome Raven! With Master, you inaugurate a new series
titled, Dommissima. What are we going
to find in this series?
Everything
and anything I think. Dommissimma is a BDSM Club set in Glasgow, owned and run
by Linsey. Each story is tied snigger to the club in some way. And each
and every person has their secrets and stories to share, if they will. Anna and
Caden met up again after a lot of years through the club. Linsey, set it up to
help herself get over a tragedy, and Athol helps out to fill in his spare
time…or so he says. According to him, his story is coming next. There's a lot
of scope here, and I'm looking forward to sharing the lives and loves of the
people who are involved there.
In three to
five words, why are we going to love book 1?
Laugh, cry,
angst, love.
Raven, I’ve
just visited your website and you have 4 upcoming releases. How do you find the
time to write so much?
I have no
idea. I tap away whenever I can—Although I have slowed down lately. I can block
the world out when I write, and I can write anywhere. Long haul flights are a
favorite. I'm also lucky in that I seem to wake up early and write before
anyone is about. Often I'll wake up with a story in my head, or something comes
to me just as I fall asleep. I have to jot the idea down, or I'll forget it.
I'm not a plotter though, and I have no idea where I'm going until I get there.
You’ve
written contemporaries, paranormals and historical novels, what’s your favorite
genre?
This might
sound silly, but whatever I'm in the middle of. What comes next is about
whoever shouts at me the loudest. I love it all, and I think the rise of
electronic publishing has given authors a chance to explore their voice, and
not stick to one specific thing.
What is something you’d love to try in your
writing but haven’t yet?
I'd love to write a travel book, about some of
the places I've visited. It's on my to do list.
Now, let’s
get a lil' dirty! Tell me…
Favorite
time of day Dawn
Coffee
or Tea Tea first thing coffee during the
day, tea in the evening (If I'm not having…wine. J)
Sweet
or spicy Me sweet and him spicy. Oh you
mean food? I can't chose.
Left
or right I'm left handed…
Top
or bottom Depends on my mood, if we're
talking bunk beds, definitely the top grin
Best
song to make love to I want to say
Mrs. Robinson,( in joke ) but its Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow, by Carole King
I reckon. Although if I'm going to be all purple prose-y I could say, when you
make love you make your own music. (Inside Info, Tapestry was the first album
DH and I listened to together…)
A
personal anecdote…
I
was writing on a long haul flight, middle of the night, when most people were
asleep. I needed the loo, so I left my laptop on my seat, and off I went. When
I got back there was a bloke reading what I'd just typed. I said "excuse
me" as in "Oy that's my lap top and my seat" sort of stuff, and
he apologized and moved in to let me past! So I did the "Er no that's my
seat" thing and he smiled and moved away. About an hour later I went to
the bar (Virgin, upper class, name dropping lol), and there was a couple of
cabin crew there. One said to me, "Are you the lady in 6d?"
When
I agreed I was, she laughed and said, "Well the two gentlemen in 2a and b
want to know what happens once she climbs on the bed and faces the wall."
And after being submitted to my questions, the "mic" is all yours, Raven!
Hanging around... Rambling with Raven...
Okay it's hanging round
by The Stranglers but hey ho, will you hang around and read the blog? Because, I'm all over
happy, and doing the chair swivel jiggle.
Master which is
actually book one in the Dommissima series, Is now out and ready for comments.
Though as I write that, I do gulp a bit. Comments, constructive comments, be
they good or bad re helpful. 'This sucks' or 'I loved it' is less so.
I want to get better
in what I do. I want my writing to grow stronger, powerful and compelling, and
what my reader tell me is one way I can do this. Oh I've had to pull on my big girl panties,
because we can't all like the same thing, and that's something we all need to
learn. Even Caden and Anna, in Master.
It's a steep learning
curve for anyone, that fact that we are all individuals and what's right for
one person isn't necessarily right for the next. Not just in your kink might
not be my kink etc. etc., but even down to I like milk chocolate you like
white, I like tea, you hate it. All personal choice.
Sometimes it goes
deeper than that. And you don't even realize what or why wrong, and that is the
premise of Master. Anna and Caden have to work out what they want, what they need and if they can reconcile the two.
Then they need to see if what's right for one is acceptable for the other.
Yeah, you can begin to
see their dilemma.
And to tease you …A delicious excerpt:
