TnT Confidential: Raven McAllan, Master

Greetings lovelies, and happy Tuesday! Today I have the lovely Raven McAllan answering questions and sharing her latest release, a BDSM erotic read with a promising title: Master.

Caden McCourt did not expect to find his estranged wife Diana at a BDSM club. When he does, the renowned Master is determined to claim back his errant wife.

When Diana left him fifteen years prior, she lost a part of herself. Seeing Cade again throws her into a tail spin.

She cannot be the sub he needs, but she can't walk away either. When she's challenged by Cade to face her demons, her old nightmares resurface. Can they overcome the chasm between them, or are the nightmares simply too strong?

Welcome Raven! With Master, you inaugurate a new series titled, Dommissima. What are we going to find in this series?

Everything and anything I think. Dommissimma is a BDSM Club set in Glasgow, owned and run by Linsey. Each story is tied snigger to the club in some way. And each and every person has their secrets and stories to share, if they will. Anna and Caden met up again after a lot of years through the club. Linsey, set it up to help herself get over a tragedy, and Athol helps out to fill in his spare time…or so he says. According to him, his story is coming next. There's a lot of scope here, and I'm looking forward to sharing the lives and loves of the people who are involved there.

In three to five words, why are we going to love book 1?
Laugh, cry, angst, love.

Raven, I’ve just visited your website and you have 4 upcoming releases. How do you find the time to write so much?

I have no idea. I tap away whenever I can—Although I have slowed down lately. I can block the world out when I write, and I can write anywhere. Long haul flights are a favorite. I'm also lucky in that I seem to wake up early and write before anyone is about. Often I'll wake up with a story in my head, or something comes to me just as I fall asleep. I have to jot the idea down, or I'll forget it. I'm not a plotter though, and I have no idea where I'm going until I get there.

You’ve written contemporaries, paranormals and historical novels, what’s your favorite genre?

This might sound silly, but whatever I'm in the middle of. What comes next is about whoever shouts at me the loudest. I love it all, and I think the rise of electronic publishing has given authors a chance to explore their voice, and not stick to one specific thing.

What is something you’d love to try in your writing but haven’t yet?

I'd love to write a travel book, about some of the places I've visited. It's on my to do list.

Now, let’s get a lil' dirty! Tell me…

Favorite time of day     Dawn
Coffee or Tea  Tea first thing coffee during the day, tea in the evening (If I'm not having…wine. J)
Sweet or spicy  Me sweet and him spicy. Oh you mean food? I can't chose.
Left or right      I'm left handed…
Top or bottom  Depends on my mood, if we're talking bunk beds, definitely the top grin
Best song to make love to        I want to say Mrs. Robinson,( in joke ) but its Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow, by Carole King I reckon. Although if I'm going to be all purple prose-y I could say, when you make love you make your own music. (Inside Info, Tapestry was the first album DH and I listened to together…)

A personal anecdote…

I was writing on a long haul flight, middle of the night, when most people were asleep. I needed the loo, so I left my laptop on my seat, and off I went. When I got back there was a bloke reading what I'd just typed. I said "excuse me" as in "Oy that's my lap top and my seat" sort of stuff, and he apologized and moved in to let me past! So I did the "Er no that's my seat" thing and he smiled and moved away. About an hour later I went to the bar (Virgin, upper class, name dropping lol), and there was a couple of cabin crew there. One said to me, "Are you the lady in 6d?"
When I agreed I was, she laughed and said, "Well the two gentlemen in 2a and b want to know what happens once she climbs on the bed and faces the wall."

And after being submitted to my questions, the "mic" is all yours, Raven!

Hanging around... Rambling with Raven...
Okay it's hanging round by The Stranglers but hey ho, will you hang around and read the blog? Because, I'm all over happy, and doing the chair swivel jiggle.
Master which is actually book one in the Dommissima series, Is now out and ready for comments. Though as I write that, I do gulp a bit. Comments, constructive comments, be they good or bad re helpful. 'This sucks' or 'I loved it' is less so.
I want to get better in what I do. I want my writing to grow stronger, powerful and compelling, and what my reader tell me is one way I can do this.  Oh I've had to pull on my big girl panties, because we can't all like the same thing, and that's something we all need to learn. Even Caden and Anna, in Master.
It's a steep learning curve for anyone, that fact that we are all individuals and what's right for one person isn't necessarily right for the next. Not just in your kink might not be my kink etc. etc., but even down to I like milk chocolate you like white, I like tea, you hate it. All personal choice.
Sometimes it goes deeper than that. And you don't even realize what or why wrong, and that is the premise of Master. Anna and Caden have to work out what they want, what they need and if they can reconcile the two. Then they need to see if what's right for one is acceptable for the other.
Yeah, you can begin to see their dilemma.

And to tease you …A delicious excerpt:

Happy Halloween!!

I know it's still a few hours away, but I'm going to be very busy tomorrow scaring the neighborhood kids :) So have yourself a very, very Happy and Spooky Night! Here's a little wicked story for your pleasure ;-)
Witch Master

“Come,” she ordered.

He obeyed without question, following her into the chamber.

“Close the door.”

He did and stood rigid next to the door. She had turned her back to him, so he took the opportunity to survey her discreetly.

The rumor was true. She was a witch, a sorcerer in the power of the King, his step brother. He fought back the urge to curl his fist in anger. He had to keep up the pretence, at least for a few more minutes.

Sasha waved her hands over a steaming silver cup, cooling it instantly.

“Come.”

He went to her and stopped mere inches from her face.
She took in the sight of him. He was handsome, very handsome. Naked as he was before her, except for the slip around his privates, he caused her blood to burn. He was tall, lean even. His chest was broad and soft to the touch. She thought she heard him hiss, but that was not possible because they had drugged him.

Her eyes travelled from his chest to his face. He was exquisite: a firm square jaw covered by a three day beard, a chiseled nose, hair the color of walnuts and eyes the color of amber. Like Justin’s. She sighed.

She looked up at him again and met his eyes. They were not languid like they should be. They had a fire in them, a fire that she knew well. Her imagination had to be tricking her.

“Drink,” she ordered. Her voice was shaking. She let her gaze drop.

She took a step back. It could not be. She looked up at him again. His eyes burnt through hers. Slowly, he retrieved the cup from her shaking hands. He spilled the liquid onto the stone floor. She took another step back.
He set the cup on the table and took a step forward. She took another step back. She began to shake her head. Her mouth opened to scream.

His lips pressed against hers in a fervent kiss. A warm trail of tears slipped from her eyes in silence. Justin pressed her to him hungry for the feel of her subtle curves against him. Sasha gasped when she felt the hardness of his shaft pressing against her. It had been so long. For a moment, she tried to break from the embrace, fearing that the figure before her was a succubus. The thought vanished when he gently wiped away her tears with his thumb.

Justin opened his mouth to speak but no words would come out. He pulled Sasha to him and ripped at her bodice. Her breasts fell free of the binding cloth. Startled she let out a small cry that became a moan when his mouth tasted and lavished her breasts like a starved newborn.

Sasha whimpered. She tangled her trembling hands through his hair, pulling at him, trying to make him understand that she needed him in her. He knew. Unceremoniously, he lifted her skirts and pulled down her undergarments. She stepped out of them and he pressed her roughly against the wall.
He draped his strong arms around her waist and lifted her. Instinctively, she wrapped her legs around his waist. Sasha gasped loudly as she felt his thick shaft find his way into her moist warmth.

He pushed. She shoved. Together, they created a steady rhythm. Fast and Furious, like two starved animals, their moans seemed to echo in the potion’s chamber.
Sasha opened her eyes and found his persistent stare.

“Justin,” she cried as waves of pleasure cursed through her.

“Sasha,” he moaned, too consumed in his own pleasure to say anything else.

For another second, Sasha wondered if she had just given her soul to the devil. If it was so, she didn’t care. She was not ashamed to admit that it was not the first time that she had toyed with the idea of making a pact with the Dark Lord if only he would give her, her soul mate back.
Justin dropped a kiss on the top of her head. He heard the clamor of a horn in the distance. His men were in the castle, he knew he should go and join them, tell them he was still alive, but he could not leave her side, not again.

Her legs shook as they dropped to the floor. If he hadn’t been holding her, she knew she would have fainted. She had to ask.

“Are you,” her voice betrayed her. She coughed. “Are you a ghoul?” she managed to whisper into Justin’s chest. He took a step back and she feared she had insulted him.

“No, Sasha, Sasha.” Justin saw her tears begin anew. He brought her to him and picked her up like a child. “My sweet angel, I’m no devil. I’ve come back home. I’ve come back for you, Sasha. Forever.”
